[Game] Kings @ Thunder - Sunday, 12/6/15 - 4 pm PST, 7 pm EST

People putting the blame on Rudy should be embarassed with themselves. He outplayed one of the premier superstars in the game. The give away by Belli followed by the missed alley oop and finally the missed free throws doomed us. Rudy made a funky play I agree, but Cousins is the player to blame. He has been awful the last week. He needs to get his head right. Karl is not the reason Cousins is a volatile force (good or bad). That is on him and him alone. Rondo is doing the best he can to help Cousins mature and become the player he can be, but right now he is crape and it is truly pushing me toward the ledge. We can't fire another coach midseason. We just can't. All it will mean is another lost season and if we play like we are for too much longer Rondo won't be here in a year and that will sting terribly because this is a golden opportunity to bring some faith back for the fans. I love the Kings, but this is painful right now much more than years when we untalented and awful. This is worse. A starting 5 of Rondo, Mclemore, Gay, Cousins and Casspi/WCS/ Koufos or whomever should be winning at least half of its games!!

Whatever he should have done, it shouldn't have taken that long. The decision to wait until no time was left was on the coach.

I couldn't interpret the rest of that.
What he shouldn't have held for the last shot? He should had left time for durant? We are in the road. And was Malone excuses for a hurt cuz? Y not Karl. Cuz is healthy we win this game.

I don't understand why Rudy has the ball. More times than not, he loses the ball. The ISO is frustrating to watch.

George Karl just said that the plan was in fact to "Ice" or Iso Rudy at the top. It's reached the definition of insanity, they're making the same mistakes and bad decisions over and over again.

Karl is not thinking clearly, he is not himself. It's time to move on for his sake and his well being

No Rudy had been hot he should be able to blow by Steven frickin Adams.

Well, I think we can let the playoffs idea/hope go because we just aren't a good team. This might be the most disappointing season for me in the past 8 years. We had so much to hope for and now even our worst case scenarios (prior to the season) are looking like a good outcome. I just don't understand -- we have good players, so why can' t we be good as a team? Boggles my mind that year in and year out, no matter who is on the floor, who owns the team, or who is coaching it, we still suck. Even the Jazz, minus their starting PG and C, are still winning, with arguably less talent. Why can't we just do what everyone else does?

It goes directly back to what's been said on this board by a few posters....loser mentality. Once a loser, always a loser...at least that favors 2 of our best players.

When you're this bad, and for this long, there's plenty of blame to go around. I wish Karl or Rudy or Cousins were the problem, but when a team can't crack the 30 win mark for the better part of a decade you're problems are clearly more systemic.

Rudy, if you were going to to give to him with the game on the line excels in two areas.

1) Iso midrange, 15-18 ft out on the angle where he can attack his midrange game or

2) Handling up top in a P&R, preferably with Cuz. Since Cuz isn't near 100%, a Rondo/Rudy P&R would have made sense.

What Karl chose was lazy, as is his entire system on both ends. We btw didn't lose the game at the end as much as fans like to make it about the last few secs, we lost it again due to the poor defensive game planning and perimeter focus where our inside play has essentially evaporated.

Karl: “Rudy didn’t make a play. I don’t understand why he wanted to run the clock. I didn’t talk to him about that."
Here it comes, folks

From page 4, and no one pays any of US to coach, but seriously..... end of game plays should not involve Rudy putting the ball on the floor trying to drive in traffic. He is only allowed to dribble once or twice to get rhythm when no one is near. You play to people strengths, not set them up for failure
^^^This.....why not put the ball in Rondo's hands? A question I'd like the media to ask Karl. Rudy driving from the top in iso is 50/50 whether he turns it over or not.

Why can't he?

I'm suggesting that he needs to add something new to his game. Nothing more, nothing less.

He has been in the league for 10+ years doing the same thing with enough success to be a very good player.
Even if he decides to add something else (low probability), he will not do that during this season, at least not on the level for him to be as effective as he is on ISO.

Same for Cousins

Of course Cousins didn't do anything wrong. I mean its not his fault he missed the FTs... and that easy ally oop with Westbrook covering him.

Its all Karl's and Rudy's fault... yeah that's it.
So now, neither you nor @DeMoN are following the conversation?

If you think the point of what I'm saying is to cape up for Cousins, you should try reading for clarity. I don't even like Cousins; you may have me confused with @Bricklayer.

I responded to @DeMoN's post with a confused smiley, because he replied to my response to you about Gay, by asking if I was talking about Cousins. And, apparently, you interpreted that as me suggesting that Cousins was blame-free. I'm very interested in learning how you made Pi out of 1+1.

I'm serious done with this clown.
You put the ball in his hands with the game on the line and publicly call him out after he f's up. If it's not lost already, he definitely just lost half that locker room. Screw waiting this out, FIRE Karl tomorrow.

It doesn't happen on the last play, with the clock running down. We've seen it over and over again. He's not successful in that moment. Try something new. It's insanity
Really? You have seen Rudy Iso against a slow center on the perimeter. And who else hits the clutch shot recently? Rondo um no. Cuz well he is hurt and if he wasn't we win this game. Did u excuse Malone when cuz was hurt? Yes or no? Cuz if u blame Karl when cuz is hurt you are a hypocrit. In fact I would say Karl gave us a chance.

that last sequence in the game told me all I needed to see. No body tried to make a play and Cousins lazily tried to set a ineffective screen and did not turn around once for the ball....if he is so hurt, he needs to just sit out until he gets right. These last three games have been painful to watch by him. Injury or not...he was a liability out there...the team looked more lively when Koufos was playing as the solo big. I had exactly zero hope that even when they had that small lead that they were going to hold on to it...goes back to being a loser, that's all the team knows and has ever known.

The "effectiveness" of his isolation is a matter of some contention.

That doesn't make the post any less true. He should be able to trust his defense. He obviously can't, and it's his shortcoming that he can't.
No it's the teams Ben and Rudy are clueless. Did u excuse Malone when cuz was hurt? Yes or no? Answer that
