to say we've "played them even" when we're consistently down almost 40 and the Spurs are already celebrating is giving us too much credit.

I am affraid that when it comes to garbage time, we will lose by 50 or more points because they have a much deeper bench.

They're down 34, same as at half time. I only pointed out that we are playing better than that horrific first half.

You must be getting all the bad storms we've had the last 2 days. Aren't you close to Atlanta?
the lightning last night was awful.

Well I was just saying that staying the same score when the other team is already done playing and doesn't care isn't much to brag about.

In fact, it's pretty embarassing. But as Kings fans, we're unfortunately used to that in big games.

would u guys go for a starting lineup change or would u guys go for a wait and see appoach? For example putting wells on the bench and martin starting to help the bench situations somewhat.

Starting SAR would not have made any difference.

well this is a pathetic showing to say the least...certainly not the message you want to send the Defending Champions in the first game. Lets hope for the best next game and play some DEFENSE! (cough Miller)

To say one more thing, I was really worried we'd be embarassed on National TV, now I see why they're never in any highlight reels or talked about...

oh boy the spurs starters are out. follow the lead rick. get them out of there

I'm with you. Don't see the reason to have any of our starters out there at this point. Sure, we may lose by 50 since they are so much deeper than theirs, but is losing by 50 with our 2nd team in there any more embarrassing than losing by 35 with our starters playing their bench? This game was embarrassing, and hopefully a wake up call to the Kings. We need to play much, much better than this to even look like we belong on the same floor as the Spurs.
