[Game] Kings @ Spurs, 2/1/14, 5:30 PST, 8:30 EST

In one possession, Ray made an excellent pass AND set a nice screen. Impressive. :)

I suppose it depends on how you quantify a "good game." If you only look at the points scored, like you have him in a five-cat league, or something, then sure, "21 points! He must be doing well!" When you realize that he's scored those twenty-one points, largely at the expense of his teammates, that it's taken him twenty-two shots to score those twenty-one points, that he's not doing a good job of finding his teammates, or getting them easy baskets, and that his defense hasn't really been that good, either... well, it tends to look a little less awesome.

Well, I didn't really say he's been awesome. He's been the 2nd best King tonight though, and is really the only other capable scorer on the roster right now so his shots are what they are. I don't know who else I'd want taking those.

If he was doing this with Cousins in there I'd be pissed, but I'm not going kill him for taking shots away from the 3-11 MT, or Aaron Gray.

And I have no real love for IT so much as I think a lot of the 'hate' for lack of a better word is irrational, especially relative to how bad the rest of the roster is performing.

I really don't see the difference between Patty Mills and IT. Oh wait I do, one comes off the bench and doesn't get in the way of Duncan/Parker

Gray is useless as an offensive player.. his hands are worse than JT which is unheard of! I remember he missed a wide open layup.. it bounced off the rim

How many of those 11 were forces, because that's the only way MT gets shots?

Carl Landry is going to a terrible cap killer for years and years to come. I understand he's still rusty and coming back, but what the hell were we thinking?

My "hate" is because I am beyond sick and tired of hearing Grant and Jerry sing his praises every single moment and yet, even when it's obvious, they cannot find a way to criticize him. It was a "Sacramento mistake" and not IT's. Blah, blah, blah... I'm not an idiot and I'm not some fool who doesn't understand the game. I'm tired of being treated by our broadcast team like both. And I'm tired of being expected to believe them instead of my lying eyes.

I loved IT in the role of 6th man. I hate what he has become as a starter. It's not good for him in the long run and it's certainly not good for the Kings.

See, I would agree with you on a certain level, but the Kings are playing well tonight as it is.

The Kings have a miracle on their hands with how Gay is playing. I'm not going to force it to him right now while he's being this efficient because of his history with forced shots and bad shooting percentages. Can we give him the ball more? sure, but I am comfortable with where his shots are at because his FG% is fantastic.

Plus saying Gay has 13 shots is deceiving. He'd been to the line 5 times which indicates him handling the ball more than 13 shots would suggest.

I don't understand. Is this meant to diminish Gay's shooting and elevate IT? Gay is the ultimate team man. IT is far from it. See it anyway you wish.

That happens to everyone. Just accept Gray for what he is - an end of the bench player who is playing way more minutes than he expected.

Impossible to get in his mind and figure that out, but MT has a history of forcing shots no matter who he is playing with. This is nothing new.

But he has missed open shots. There were 2 open 3's that he missed, and one open mid range jumper he clanked off the rim after a nice little pump fake to get open.

Thornton hasn't been very good all year. Was it Thomas' fault the whole time?
