Kings sign David Stockton to multi-year deal

You say "only" started playing in the post in 2003 but that was 12 years ago at this point. In the modern drive and dish NBA, post-up guards are far and few between.
I think you misinterpreted what I was saying, I was saying that technically he's the best post up guard since Sam Cassell (who I think retired after Gary)

It should be noted that even though he's undersized, Stockton still at least seems to put effort into playing defense, unlike our past experience of super short overachievers, and has a good feel for the game as apparently being an unselfish player is a genetic trait.

At the game last night got chance to watch him off the ball and was impressed with his court savvy and moving without the ball. He is also very good dribbler and seems to have that Stockton fearless trait as well shown on the breakaway twisting reverse layup. Very quick hands on defense and crisp passing for a small sample in the NBA.

His dad would kick his ass if he didn't.

That said, he was still playing in the D-League last night. Against actual NBA caliber opponents...well we'll just have to see. I have nothing against the concept of a David Stockton, and like my midgets to be Mugsy Bogueses rather than little chuckers. But he's going to reach the actual NBA level at some point, have to guard Stepehn Curry and Russel Westbrook and Damian Lillard and...we'll just have to see.

Word is he really impressed V in a private workout in Santa Barbara, just after he was snubbed from the D-League all-star game. Apparently his father from behind the scenes put the kaibosh on that, apparently to "keep him humble". Very shrewd of Stockton Sr... as it apparently paid off for the young Stockton sooner rather than later.

Stockton has been told he's in the running for the starting job next year, which is why he signed here instead of Utah. Vivek likes the young man's "open mindedness".

Just so we're all clear: everything I've said about David Stockton so far is a total fabrication for the sake of comedy.

wow..I believed you! His contract really isn't 3 years and 8million right? ....

I thought the internet only told the truth :(

I do apologize for any confusion, misunderstanding, resentment, conflict, mass uprisings, and riots I caused through my frivolous use of satire.

However if even only one person halfway chuckled, it was worth all of it.
