[Game] Kings @ Hornets 1/21/13 10 AM

The starters all sat when they down 12 or so points. The bench played better than the starters did. I am not say that is the justifies the coaches rotation but let's not pretend that the starters were great and is coach Smart had just played them more the game would be a lot closer. It probably would be worse.

still think its a good thing the bench played so long in the 2nd.....

Anybody know what Jimmer did wrong to be close to his 2nd DNP in 2 games? I'm certain some teams in this league could use him.

Its funny right? Smart announces his tightened line-up and some guys are going to be mad. And then he plays two consecutive games where Jimmer is the only DNP.

The perimeter defense has been deplorable. To be fair, however, there are, maybe, three teams in the entire league that have the personnel to effectively guard a stretch 4 like Anderson.

Hornet offensive gameplan: get .432 3PT shooter Anderson open from three point range

Kings offensive gamplan: iso .403 FG shooter Outlaw for contested mid range jumpers

I left to get ready for work --- come back and Ryan Anderson. After today, the Kings deserve to play the next game with Anderson's face stitched into their jerseys.

The Hornet's are 13-27 - Anderson is not Dirk Nowitzki
When it comes to three-point shooting, Anderson is better than Dirk Nowitzki. And let's not pretend that Anderson has played his entire career in New Orleans; teams couldn't guard him in Orlando, either.

with people like James Johnson on our team, we ARE one of those teams that should be able to guard it

It's not a dig at Anderson. It's more that this should NOT a hard team to defend against.

Well, the problem, from my point of view, is that there aren't nearly enough players in the NBA who want to play defense for it's own sake. Nearly everybody in the league, but especially on this team, if they're not scoring, can't be arsed to put in the effort on the other end.

If were 6'7" (damned genetics), I'd be happy to be the second coming of Bruce Bowen.
