[Game] Kings @ Hornets 1/21/13 10 AM

but for real this team just stands no chance until Keith Smart is gone. but unfortunately, the team will probably not be in California when that happens

I knew it'd be IT's fault.

Sort of went quiet after the last game but weeeeeeeeeeeere back.

Thomas may have had a nice stat line in the last game. but he forced shots at bad times when easy passes could have been made. and once again took the second most shots.

Course he did.

Cuz had 5 TO's in the last game, didn't hear that mentioned much.

you were saying similar things about Jimmer earlier in the season, most of which was complete nonsense when i went back and looked at the game.

No idea where this IT hate has come from tbh.

its not hate at all. its blatant truth. he isnt a starting PG in this league. neither is any other PG on this roster besides maybe Tyreke

none of them will start on a winning team. and once new owners get a hold of this team you will not see any of them starting anymore

Cuz doesn't dictate when our 2nd best player gets the ball nor how many touches our 2nd best player gets. Cuz doesn't dictate the tempo of the game either or is charged with getting guys involved.

IT does and is. No one brought it up because their TO's, IT vs Cuz, don't reflect the roles they have in a game. It'd be like in soccer comparing the passes completed % of a #10 to the striker. The #10 has a different role and is charged with creating, while the striker is charged with finishing chances created. If you're #10 has a passes completed % of 70%, as does your striker, while it's the same %'s it's the #10 who did a worse job filling his role and it had more of an impact on the squad than the striker only completing 70% of his passes.

As far as IT, he didn't play poorly today. But, again, the first half he took the ball out of our 2nd best players hands. I documented the numbers in another thread. It's no mistake. When out there with Reke, IT scores more than Reke and attempts more shots than Reke. You can't put that type of a player next to Reke. Sure IT may ultimately play a good game but it's to the detriment of our 2nd best player. Notice we played significantly better in the 2nd half when Reke was much more involved. When was the last time this team really had a good half? Against Wash, when Reke was heavily involved with Jimmer next to him.

It's not about IT's stat line. It's about the role his attempting to play, the ball dominance of that role next to Reke who needs the ball to be effective, and are we better with IT being the dominant guard opposed to Reke and turning Reke into a support player, as thats what he normally is next to IT.

Turnovers can win and lose you games, I'm not really fussed who has them tbh.

but it seemed to be suggested that the reason for this defeat was IT's defense and IT's turnovers.
