I really hope we can nab Dorsey in the second round. This kid is very athletic and a much needed rebounder. He probly wont get pushed around down low. Although I think he maybe a little undersized and his offensive game is horrible, I think we could develop him into a Ben Wallace type of player wich may not be so bad. If we dont end up getting a PF in the first (We probly will but who knows whats going on in Petrie's mind) I think this kid has major potential and we should get him if he is still there.
As for the first rounder. I dont like Speights that much I think he may not be ready to play in the nba. He has very poor shot selection, he is really not as conditions as well as we would like him to be. He in my prespective would be a risk. If we were to pick this guy I wouldnt be mad, nor dissapointed or angry. He would be good for our "development process" because he needs sometime to develop. He's what you call a "late bloomer".
I would love for us to get Augustin or Westbrook, but I dont see that happening so I guess the best choice for us is to get Randolph.

I find myself, more and more, disliking the guys who are slated to go around #12:
DeAndre Jordan: Very athletic but no skill whatsoever. I see him as the next Adonal Foyle/Kwame Brown.
Anthony Randolph: let's be clear, this guys is a SF through and through, even he said he's a SF. So essentially, he's a wing player with good size, handle, and athleticism but can't shoot. Meet the next Darius Miles.
Maresse Speights: He's not a star but I see him as a solid 10 and 9 type of player. I think he'll always be a poor defender and bad decision maker. Kind of like a bigger version of KT9 (Adelman era).
JaVale McGee: somehow I just can't shake the feeling that he is just "too good to be true." Athletic seven footer with skill and star potential that can be had in the late lottery is... well, probably a fool's gold. Athough, if we're going to gamble, this is the guy I want to gamble with; simply because his ceiling is the highest, even if his bustibility is the highest too.
Darell Arthur: I can't believe I'm saying this, but Arthur may just have the best combination of safe pick + talent. He's not a star and barely a starter, he will be owned by most of the PFs in the western conference, and he's never going to average more than 7.5 rebound a game. But at least you know what you're getting with Arthur: good motor, plays within himself, and a rotation player.
Roy Hibbert: I seriously doubt we're picking him at #12, but if we do then we draft the next Brandon Haywood.
So in conclusion: I really hope GP pull a surprise and pick a diamond out of the rough, someone not on the list I mentioned above. And if he did pick someone from my list, I truly hope I'm wrong about that player's ability.
And I'm assuming Alexander, Augustin, Gallinari, and Westbrook will be long gone.
For a surprise guy, how do you feel about Ajinca? I don't even think we've worked him out but I like his potential from what I've seen.

How about my dark horse, Jason Thompson. I really like this guy, and I think the Warriors will take him at 14 if someone doesn't take him sooner.
"god Bless George Bush" Bumper Sticker... Even Better...
looks Like Brad Got A Huntin Budy...
miller / Rahim / Thomas / Hawes !!!!!
I Love That!!!!
oh For The Love Of God.
lol Hahhaha...this Is So Pathetic Its Becoming Funny. What Did We Ever Do To Deserve This?![]()
great, Espn's Notes Say "must Improve: Rebounding". Fits Right In To Our Current Team. Is Petrie Trying To Construct A Team Consisting Of 6'7" Tweeners And Slow White Dudes? Because That Don't Win Championships. Highly Disappointed That We Haven't Seen Any Trades Go Down Yet Either, Though Maybe That Is Asking Too Much.![]()
petrie Is No Longer A Genius I See.
if I Line Up My Monkey Paws, Chicken Feet And Squirrel Tails, Just Maybe
We Will Get A Trade.....here Goes Nothing
!^@^!%@^!@%^!%@!^@%
The jury is still out, people.
100% with you. Hawes flashed a lot of promise, but he still has a long way to go. For the record I wanted Thaddeus Young, who considering his age, had the best rookie year of anyone not named Durant or Horford.
Last year I admit that I was against the Hawes pick, I wanted Noah and rumors say that so did Petrie. Who knows how that would have worked, just because he had problems in Chicago doesn't mean he would have here.
After he was gone I wanted Thornton or Wright, Thornton probably more. After seeing those guys I think they will be both be good but Wright is looking like a stud, I bet he starts this year over Peterson in New Orleans.

A potential deal with Memphis and New York apparently has some legs. The Knicks, who have the No. 6 pick, would get the Grizzlies' No. 5 pick and give David Lee and other considerations to Memphis. New York would then select UCLA's Russell Westbrook and Italy's Danilo Gallinari with its No. 5 and No. 6 picks. If Memphis selects UCLA's Kevin Love, that is a strong indicator that the Grizzlies are keeping the pick.
Does anyone think it is a steal if Kings can finally pick Anthony Randolph
No idea why the Grizz would do that. Good as Lee is, he is not worth the 5th pick. Why not just take Love who will be better than him? It doesn't make sense. As far as I can see, it's a no brainer for NY.
If NY came out of this draft with Westbrook and Gallinari, that's a very good draft. Things would be looking up for the Knicks future, taking into account they'll be adding some more young talent the next few years in the lottery.
Kings really need to get into action. Try to acquire picks, youth. Just try to trade some of our older guys. Not easy to do, but Geoff really needs to be proactive instead of reactive. Last few years we've just been making our pick and going home with nothing happening. This is the year, with such a deep draft, we need to be acquiring another mid to late 1st rounder. Problem is, we don't have alot to offer.
