Hall of Famer
Do we really have to play again ?

On January 11th 2004 Kings beat Nuggets 117 - 106 to improve to 26-9 at that time. Pedja had 33/8, Brad had 14/5, Vlade had 8/7/9, Bibby had 18/4 and DC had 11/5 assists and 3 steals. Of the Bench Bobby had 16/4 and TFM had 14/3. Kings shot 54.4% from the field.

Kings 13-20 on a 2 games losing streak which BTW feels like eternity mostly because of the way we lost those games. At the moment Kings have got to be the favorite opponent for any team that needs a win desperately. At the moment we are clearly much worse than our record indicates. Even Knicks might have a better record soon. In fact when they scrimage in practice against each other - both teams lose.
---------------------------------------------------------------------------
Some "fantasy" tips - while I am very new to this "game" - I feel competent to recomend short term additions of the players who will play Kings that week or the very next day. You won't regret it. It does not matter who bad those players are or how much they struggled this season. for that one game - You are very likely to get an allstar performance across the board. Compliments of Kings defense.

I think that we are at the point where noone has any confidence in this team including the players and the coaches. During the last night's game at NO point I had hope that kings might win this. Not even in the 1st quarter. It is simple. Kings are a horrible team and horrible teams find a way to lose. Kings are very good at that these days. Even a 20 pts lead in the 4th quarter would not be safe because if anyone can blow that lead - Kings can. At any point of the game - the opponent is entitled a 20-0 run in a 4-5 minute strech. It is called a self distruction. It is caused by lack of talent, trust, confidence and leadership. With this roster - the illnes is terminal. Unfortunately, it is also a long process which includes lots of pain and suffering. As for fans - I recomand Zoloft for now but also have some Valium ready for the later stages (if trade deadline passes without changes). In case that You are not fan of drugs like myself - there is always alcohol but it can get expensive because You will develope a nice tollerance as the season goes on. Drive safetly !

Here are some Kings rules/guidelines for effective losing

- don't ride the hot hand - wait till it cools down or get substituted

- if You can allow 10-0 run - You sure can allow 20 -0 run. if you practice enough You can do it in the same time span and You can also do it several times per game.

- don't defend - because You may make the rest of Your teammates look bad

- don't rebound - see above

- turn the ball over - everyone does it.

- don't look like You care because You might be benched for that

- don't trust Your teammate because he sure a hell doesn't trust You either

(if You can think of some more - feel free to add to it)

We lost to Memphis last night which was a given considering the difference in the situations that the 2 teams are in. I believe thta Memphis is not a more talented team per se. However they are better team by far. Warrick and Miller will never forget this game because they were forced into career milestones.Kings self destructed yet again by a form of "Murphy's rule." Bobby Jackson certainly did not outplay bibby until teh 4th quarter - when it mattered. Nice to see him healthy.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Tonight we play Rockets for the 3rd time (0-2). They miss their 2 best players which means one thing - they have us right where they want us. And while Kings suck and are 7 games below .500 - they are still perfectly capable of underestimating an opponent. I expect a close, low scoring game and I would not be surprised at all if rockets win this one. The usual questions are - Will our player realize the Yao and TMac are not playing ? Are we yet again to have 2 starters with 0 contributions ? Is Hart yet again going to be the man down the strech ? Is Skinner going to be subbed after his first or his second block ? Which Rockets will have a triple double and how many will have a career game ? will Jon Barry kill us again ?
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
starters

You all suck !!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

bench - usually starts the sucking in the second quarter and finishes it in the 3rd or 4th depending on how quickly Kings collapsed.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
RA - It is about time Rick
-------------------------------------------------------------------------
Rockets - Howard might go for 40 tonight. Hot candidated for TDM award are - Head, Baxter and Lucas. TD candidate - David Wesley.

Oh man, Piksi, this is seriously hilarious. Unfortunately it's hilarious because it's true.

No Yao, No TMac...if we lose we are a lock for the lottery, if we are not already.

I am afraid the that ship has sailed and it might not be such a bad thing

I don't have any rockets on my fantasy team but I will be watching, thanks for the tip piksi;)
I was going to say that they were saving all their energy for tonite, that's why last night was a loss but never mind. Excuses don't even work anymore.Rockets haven't won a game without Tmac but there's a first time for everything, sigh.

Don't be misled if you think you are watching a good game tonight. Both teams are bad and missing starters. One team will outlast the other and come away with a W. I honestly think the Kings will prevail in a close one. But they (Kings) still are a BAD team right now.

Without their two main guns, Houston is pretty much as bad as any team in the league right now. Even had to play an OT game last night, and so should be at least as tired as we are. Basically if you're not going to win this road game, you're pretty much not going to win ANY, except by pure luck.

I hope I have enough beer to least me the whole 2hrs...
Oh, also hope my TV is still in one pcs by the end of the game.

I think we will get this...
We have said that many times this year, but many times we have been wrong. I agree this should be an easy win for us, but looking at what we have done this season and how the rockets played yesterday i would not be surpised if we lose.

I'm hoping we can pull out a win. But, a lose to ANY team would not surprise me right now. So, GO KINGS! Let's hope for the best.

No such thing for this team anymore. Other teams are circling Kings on their schedules for this. Nevertheless..

GO KINGS!

I predicted a win last night and we lost. This time I am going with the easy money and say we will get the L this game.

I mean Mike Miller looked like an all star last night. I dont think it matters much that Houston is short handed (with there main 2 at that) because they still have at least 8 guys we will make look like all stars tonight.

Does Bibby still have the flu?

I hope tonight is better. No telling what is going to happen. I just hope it goes our way.
