Dwight did not score a single point with Cousins guarding him and the clutch plays Cousins made were unreal we should have been 3-0 this road trip.

One's a sg that has potential to be realized this year. The other is a SF redeeming his career. Let those things happen instead of playing musical chairs with positions. Why is it so hard for Kings fans to understand the problems with playing guys out of position?

they've been conditioned by years of inept coaching to believe that this is a) normal practice, and b) desirable for chemistry.

;)

Oh, **** it!! Scream away. ;)

We were a play or two away down the stretch from beating the Heat - Spurs - Rockets back to back to back. Who wants to make the thread saying how we're screwing up our lottery pick? ;)

Now lets leave this team together for at least a month. There's no hurry to move anyone but there is importance in really knowing what you've got. I still don't know about Williams, for example.

great win. rockets lack overall athleticism. Ben played pretty well. His new year resolution should be consistency.

IT hung in there. Ok ok not bad Jimmer.

We aren't screwing it up with the guy I want. :) Besides if we are so darn good to even lose the pick, I'll be satisfied with how great the team has become. That's more important than a pick. We've got Gay and Cuz and that's a great start. I still believe IT is a 6th man and hope no one feels much of a need to put words in my mouth or anyone else who wants IT is a 6th man. I still value him as one of our three top scorers. He would have more freedom off the bench. We'll see. There's plenty of time to take a deep breath and see where this team is going.

Anyone remeber the last time we went 2-1 in three conseuctive games vs. title contenders? Because I sure as hell don't. Hell, when was the last time we played this well against three top teams in a row?

Also, anyone have our W-L since Rudy has played (not since the trade)?

I still believe we won't finish out of the top 12 either way, we would basically have to be one of the hottest teams in the NBA to do so.

BTW, this is why you don't toss aside 20 yr old rookies 30 games into their careers.

Ben had a bounce back game tonight. Still, a lot of improvement needs to come and he has a long way to go, but it's usually always an up and down ride with rookies, especially young ones.

Don't get too high or too low on rookies.

I understand why Malone thought Demarcus was in foul trouble but he finished with only three in the game. Against Howard.

I don't think either Malone or Ben get too high or low. The problem is us. o_O

Dwight Howard was the second best center out there tonight. What's so amazing is that everyone, including Howard, knew it.

I'm starting to sense a certain confidence in this team. I see it particularly in IT and Cousins. And there doesn't seem to be the frenetic panic down the stretch that you oftentimes have seen with this team. Cousins made big plays on D, but the poise down the stretch is what I liked the most. Good times are coming.

If anyone can get a cut up the final series of plays from Cousins on both ends, it would be much appreciated. The put back, steal and charge.

I agree. I said it a little different in that they seem more comfortable with each other and when you have three potent scorers and guys who SHOULD be playing better like Jimmer, Ben, and MT, the team plays better. Everybody seems to be more a part of the team. It seems like there is more trust. Heck this is Gay's 10th game with the Kings and to expect much more is being greedy.

When Cousins is committed to D we usually do well. The best 10-20 team I've seen. A couple players away from being a contender.

I think we need to have more rotation rather than a second unit (platoon).

I don't think Rudy's presence can be understated. He's been in big games, both playoffs and internationally. He's also acting as a leader out there. Gives our squad more belief.

How crazy is it that we have as many wins against the Southwest Division as we have against the entire eastern conference?

Absolutely. Getting Gay was like finding the mother load. Hyperbole? Maybe but that's the way it is beginning to seem. I hope the FO begins to treat him somewhat like they did with Cuz so he isn't eager to leave. That's my thoughts as of this minute.

I think Gay is playing within himself and is happy to be the 2nd option to Cuz.
