What the heck? I thought one of them would make it but man this is a boneheaded decision if I ever saw one. What the heck was the point of inviting them?

Wow lol thats kinda odd... I thought they would at least keep one of them because they need more rebounds and blocks. But hopefully they will be able to pick up a better player then. I thought they would drop potapenko.
WTF, now I'm really depressed.
WTF, now I'm really depressed. I can understand 1 of them like Amundson, but Williams too!!!!! That is crap, we only need to get down to 15 man roster and Williams can be paid the minimum and has lots of potential. I'm really mad now!!!! Why even watch the preseason or care about the offseason? You get all excited about some young guys and then we just end up cutting them when we could have kept one of them at least. This really sucks, it wouldn't be so bad if we had some good 4/5 guys, but we are so inadequate there and have some real veteran lossers here, some young kids kicking their ego around wouldn't hurt and might put a fire under Pot and Taylor to do more.![]()
Dude, they were both scrubs who were never going to see the floor. At best, the Kings could have kept the one who was the best cheerleader from the sidelines because that was going to be their job.
No reason to be depressed here.

Wow Swift reminds me of a giant Dave Mustaine from Megadeth!![]()
LMAO!
so... what was the point of cutting woods?
They were young and they had potential. They did things we needed. Amundson got rebounds and Williams could block shots. Quite honestly we could've really used them and they don't cost much. Since we're not doing a trade we don't need the extra roster spot. What was the point of ever bringing them here if you don't plan on using either of them? This just sounds like a boneheaded decision to me.
As do I. Last preseason there were actually posts here suggesting we trade Bibby and make Hart the starter!Hence the reason Piksi ignores the preseason altogether. You'll just end up upset about something....
so... what was the point of cutting woods?

so... what was the point of cutting woods?
I mean duh.
I would have thought that was obvious -- if you rebound or block shots you have absolutely no place on the softest show on hardwood.![]()
TO: All Free Agents
Wanted: Kings Big Man.
Requirements...
1: Must be no taller than 6'8...Exception will be made in the following cases.
* You have the vertical leap equivilant to that of a phone booth.
* Your version of a low post offense is a jumper from inside the key.
* You define athleticism as hunting deer in the backwoods of Indiana.
2: Having an elbow jump shot is a must. You must have the utmost confidense in it, no matter your skill with it. From Mr. Elbow Jumper Chris Webber to Mo Taylor, you are needed and wanted.
3: Interior defense is frowned upon. Blocked shots are not welcome on the Sacramento Kings. Also frowned upon is mental toughness and hustle. No reason to break a sweat chasing down a rebound in a crowd when you can let it bounce to you!
4: Having a reputation as "soft" is a must. The gerneral perception of that means you have no defensive reputation, and you avoid the paint all the while merrily taking jumpers...As noted earlier, that is a key.
If you abide by the requirments set above, you have a great chance of sticking with the Sacramento Kings. We would love to have you, as would our awesome fans.
Brad Miller, Kenny Thomas, Shareef Abdur-Rahim, Corliss Williamson, Mo Taylor, Vitaly Potopenko, as well as the rest of the Kings gladly await your call.
Thank you for your time, and we hope to see you in camp!
