What are the players you most want gone by the trading deadline? Rank your top 4 list. Here's mines.

1. Brad Miller - classic get-the-big-contract-and-then-suck player
2. Kenny Thomas - woe is me...
3. Beno Udrih - another get the contract and then suck player
4. John Salmons -doesnt suck, just selfish

1) Thomas - worthless
2) Moore - worthless
3) Beno - worthless
4) Salmons - bait to unload the three above in a package

I want Beno gone. He's just not meant for us at all--I get the impression he's best as a backup point guard for a playoff team, not a starter for a cellar dweller like us. He just turns it on and off--when he's on he's excited, he gets on a roll and starts drilling shots with ease; but when he's off, he fills a stat sheet with zeros and ones. That sort of inconsistency exemplifies much of our team, of course, but he's full of flaws and we would be best served getting a younger guard out there (maybe get Bobby Brown's feet wet more, although I'm really skeptical of his game halfway through the season). Part of the problem is that Beno just isn't a point guard--I've been saying this for years now, and he can't really orchestrate a team, nor does he have the great court vision most starting point guards possess. He can drive and kick and play pick and rolls well when he's himself hot, but when he's not he's just rendered completely helpless. That's the problem--I hope we can swap Barea and Bass for Beno and someone else on our team.

Beno.

Because I have a bad feeling that next season - if he's still with the team - he will be officially untradeable for the duration of his contract. Right now, we can move his contract using the selling point: he's having a down year/the system isn't the right fit. After the halfway point of next season though, good luck, the rest of the league will see that he stinks.

1.) Kenny Thomas - just pure dead weight
2.) John Salmons - Jordan/Kobe " I'm the man "-mentality, unfortunatey without half of Jordan/Kobe's talent which magnifies more his very selfish brand of play.
3.) Mikki Moore - as they say, worthless.
4.) Shelden Williams - the next Kenny Thomas in terms of level of talent.

.

K9, Brad, Salmons, Mikki, Beno, and i know i might get some flack for this: Cisco. I dont know what it is, cisco just doesnt do it for me. I know that right now we need to keep him, as he is one of our better defenders (meaning he gives some defensive effort) and without him wed have nothing, but i wouldnt be opposed to seeing him go if we brought back some value with size or a pg. Hes a solid player, but maybe I just have an overly critical eye for him.

1.Kenny Thomas
2.Beno (Nobody is going to take on the contract he got for such a long term deal)
3. Miller
4.Moore
5.Salmons

Beno! I fear that if we don't get out of his deal now, this time next year he will be unmovable!

While KT has a bad deal, at least it expires next year. With Beno we would be on the hook forever.

Beno and Douby for Stackhouse please!

1.Beno- Starting to dislike his game more and more (although he is playing pretty well as of late)
2.Miller-never liked his game never will
3.Moore-dont get me started
4.Kenny Thomas-dont get me started
5.Salmons-Great player just dosent fit in with our team

1.Beno Udrih(I don't like him one bit)
2.John Salmons(worth the most)
3.Brad Miller(will only help the team with him gone)
4.Kenny Thomas(gets rid of some unused material on the team)
5.Mikki Moore(piece of ****, can't play basketball, and all he has is height)

We all, for the most part, have the same 5. I would be extremely happy if 2 go, but still happy if just 1 goes.

The worst part about Beno is that he has 3 years $20mil remaining on his contract, so it's completely nuclear and virtually untradeable given his very average production (his play is worse than the stats indicate). Not only does he fit the stereotype of the I-got-payed-now-I'm-relaxing attitude, he just had noticeable flaws in his game that showed that he wasn't even worth that amount of money (or more importantly, the number of years) in the first place. I wish Bobby Brown could push him more to make him play with more focus, and I don't think Beno is intimidated by Bobby Jackson trying to pry away minutes from him. I do think he can step up his play if he's playing in games that are more meaningful (meaning that he will have to be traded to a playoff team), but that's impossible given the contract we gave him. It only took a year to realize this, unfortunately. Stein just reported that Dallas doesn't want him for that reason, even if they want to pry Salmons from us. Unless we want Matt Carroll, there's no way we can get Beno away from here.

YES! My number one player gets traded! Just having this lazy *** weed smoking, whining player off the team is enough to improve the team overall. Bad thing is we might end up losing out on the #1 draft pick this year, as this trade makes us better this year.

When did smoking weed become a fire-able offense in the NBA? You don't think #4 smoked his fair share? Trading Brad Miller had nothing to do with his weed smoking. He simply wasn't going to be a part of the future of this team because he's past his prime and not all that good anymore. Personally I think we would have been better off just waiting out his contract, but there's nothing wrong with saving a little money and trading him now so long as we get expiring contracts back.

Salmons didn't need to be traded, but he was probably our most trade-able asset because his production was above his salary level. You'd hope any trade involving Salmons would get you something of value because he's a player that a lot of teams would like to fit into their rotation. His scoring was somewhat redundant next to Martin who scores more efficiently and he was blocking Donte Greene who needs to get playing time if he's ever going to develop as an NBA player. Now we have Nocioni instead who does have a front-loaded contract which helps, but he's underperformed for two straight seasons now. If he continues the same trend he's in Kenny Thomas sunk cost territory. Hopefully that won't be the case.

Moore, Thomas, etc don't need to be traded. In fact, don't trade them! Their contract relative to production makes them a net loss on any roster so the best possible solution for us is to wait out their contracts and take the cap space. Trading them means salary coming back and it's highly unlikely that salary will be tied to usable players.

That leaves Udrih and Garcia as the two guys I'd like to see traded. Neither one is enough of an impact player to justify their cost. If you've got a good thing going -- regular playoff appearances, and good chemistry you don't want to mess with -- than keeping guys like this on your roster is justifiable. But on a last place team with few assets anyone else would find valuable who's only hope of getting better is through free agency and the draft, both of these guys are just wasting cap space. And I think both of them are trade-able, Udrih probably a little less so, especially if you're willing to send some money to make their contracts a little more palatable. Short-term loss for long-term gain. What a unique concept!
