Can someone on the coaching staff teach Monk how to do a standard pass? It’s either a highlight pass to the other team, an allyoop in traffic… but never the easy pass. So frustrating

Why did Hurter kick it out when he had a direct drive for a layup at the end there? It seems like nobody is guarding the basket. Could have lay it up, get 2pts and only down by 1pt. The Pacers don't even play defense. Malik Monk squander the lead. Like I said before....Malik Monk tend to rush things and that's when he got into trouble such as turnover the ball. This game could have been taken if the Kings play a little more careful. Self-destruct by turning over the ball is not going to help. Every time Malik touches the ball, I feel a little on edge...you don't really know what to expect as far as ball control. It could be a turnover...it could a spectacular assist.

Crazy they let that hip check from NeSmith go, but the far more minor one Fox did to Schroder was called by the book.

Disappointing game, Davion let us down here in a spot we needed him to come up big. If the Kings don't choke that 2nd quarter away, they win this.

I guess the main brightspot is the Kings more often than not beat themselves. Very rarely this year has a loss just been a total beatdown by the other team and we couldn't hang.

He’s swinging for the fences every play. Weird cause Mike Brown preaches just hit a single

Yep, I was waiting for Barnes to call for it and it didn't happen. Instead we got weave with like 1:40 left. lol. Great way to take a 4 possession game and make it 2. Well, Monte, work to do. Turn over some rocks and make another bold move if you can.
I can't help but agree. This is Monte's problem to fix and I hope he takes it as such. Frankly this is an unacceptable loss if you have championship aspirations in the next 1-2 years. Cannot tolerate. Move Monte Move. We got your back.

Kings look bad in the 4th quarter without the Clutch God. Who’d have thought that would happen?
Haha, for sure. This game was a full on display of the holes Monte has to look at filling long term and why Brown is forced to stagger Fox and Domas like he does. Sabonis is a the PG, Barnes is a great 4th option that can be pulled in case of emergency but they are missing that other piece that can get you good shots without a system bolstering them. In crunch time where there really wasn't enough game left to run sets they did.

The question is whether he has the assets. I still think Monte has a shot this summer if he doesn't want to have to move pieces like Keegan/Davion/Barnes. He still needs to look though. You have Fox and Domas. Everything else is just everything else at this point.

Kingz19

Hall of Famer
Should’ve called a timeout there with how the Kings were kicking around the ball all game. Monk especially. Get a play and a good shot.

Just a terribly played and managed game all around.

Kings once again look like the tired team vs a team on a back to back

Rare off night for Mike Brown, it sounds like smh. He'll fix it

Getting to the next level will test Monte's wizardry. You'd like to get there without sacrificing your top 4-5. We are in a position now where you DO trade your first rounders. Hope Monte gets that. That's how you sweeten these deals and get that next star. Trade 2-3 of your 4-8 guys plus your first rounder to a team who needs to unload salary. Very doable and almost textbook. Let's see Monte's twist on it. We all know it needs to happen.

Without Fox, it was hit or miss. If for example he or Sabonis misses like 10 games as a hypothetical somewhere down the line, all they need to do is hold down the fort for 3-7 or 4-6 during, and not completely collapse like the Suns, Pacers, and Pelicans when their best player went down. The Pacers would be looking a lot different with a 4-6 record during that Hali-less stretch instead of 1-9.

Kings still 6-4 in their last 10 with 3 winnable games before the 2-game set with the Mavs. If you can win 2 of the next 3, still well on track to holding on to the 3 seed heading into the all-star break.
Beat the Rockets twice or the Pelicans and all is forgiven.

My prediction for the road trip was split the Wolves, beat the Spurs, split the Pacers/Pelicans, drop a game you shouldn't to the Rockets and win the other one for a 4-3 trip. Still very much in play.

Sabonis definitely got shoved. We'll be a 60 win team if he and Fox ever get some respect smh just gross
Well you know that ain't happening, so to get to 60 they'll just have to hurt feelings hahaha. And from the looks of it a 30 win team if one misses time. lol. The best thing that's happened to the Kings this year is knock on wood no extended injuries for once. Can you imagine this team if Domas pussed out with the thumb? Throw it away, throw it all away, haha.
