We should try and use Sampson more actually... Just by that one rebound you can see that he can rebound twice as good as anyone on the team.

well we do have the same record as last year!!

Yea but you cant just hope we get into a winning streak like last year. A lot of things are different this season, we havnt even played SA yet or any of the elite teams out there. I think we will be lucky to even get in the playoffs this year with this team that we have right now. I would say 40-42 wins this year.

There is a serious lack of desire. When Denver committed its 4th team foul at the 10:50 mark of the 4th quarter the Kings should have been the agressors and they would have won the game. However, they showed no agression and no resolve whatsoever. That was a pathetic showing in the 4th quarter.

The guys ran out of gas up in the altitude. Man, tough loss.

must be patient
must be patient
must be patient

AAAARRRRRGGGGGHHHHH!!!!!!

The only problem was that when the Kings tried being aggressive, they ended up being overly-aggressive which made an already whistle-happy group of refs more incentive to blow their whistle.

God, on the post game show Adelman looks like he hasn't slept in 3 days! They also said at half time that he ripped into the team.

Their over-agressiveness was incident to their frustration throughout the game. I'm talking about taking the ball to the hoop and forcing the action, especially on a night like tonight when the officials were dying to blow their whistles.
As for the whole alitude thing...I don't buy it. The Lakers didn't buy it either last week when they won there. Plain and simple the Kings didn't give a 100% tonight when it mattered most.

I feel bad for Adelman. I have really come to like him over the years, but the results this year , and the finish last year are not speaking in his favour. I wouldn't be surprised if he did get the boot throughout, or at the end of the season. :(

yeah, Adelman looks like he's aged about 2 years this season. I honestly feel sorry for him.

Jim Grey alluded to the fact he talked to Joe Maloof before the game. He quoted him as saying they wanted to give Adelman time and not panic yet, but that if it kept up they might have to make some changes. It doesn't sound good for Rick..

I like Rick, but maybe the team is just not responding to him anymore. I know RA's still hurt by the Jackson thing and maybe his heart just isn't in it anymore. Maybe he'd like to go where he'll be appreciated. Can't blame him. He'll be a head coach somewhere.

No chemistry out there, and no one on the team looks like they are having any fun or enjoying each other as teammates. Just sad. :(

Maybe Tolbert's right, and it'll take a month to see what this team really is. Patience, patience, patience.....mumbling to self as I head to bed.

I've had the same thought myself.

yeah, I've thought that too. The move the Maloofs pulled w/Jackson this summer made it pretty clear that don't feel like they owe any loyalty to RA. It's obvious that it is doubtful there will be another contract extension in Sac for him. Does Rick still coach to the best of his ability? I have no doubt he does, he has a professional and he has pride. Is his heart in it? How could it be? This is no longer "his" team that he has helped develop, and this is not going to be "his' team in the years to come... so I doubt that he has the passion he may have had in the past.

I honestly and truly believe Rick Adelman is just about burned out... He has meant too much to this franchise, IMHO, to be allowed to wallow around as the team goes down in flames (rhetorical license only).

If they're going to change coaches - and I'm pretty positive it's a WHEN and not an IF at this point - then I think they need to do it fairly quickly. Make the clean cut...and get on with the business of rebuilding a team and an identity.

It sure didn't look like the team listened to him.

I think that is problem. I think Rick much like (Karl and Flip) has warned his effectiveness when it comes to the team. He can preach and preach about tactics and defense but it is starting to look like some of the players are tunning him out.

I think I more than ever am starting to believe this and I honestly wish it weren't happening...

but lets say a month goes by and the Kings are still playing about the same as they are now and its become even more clear that the players are responding to anything that Rick has to say...which coach would we turn to....??? I mean its not like its a hot market out there for head coaches????
