No way Bibby gets 32 MPG. I'd just expect a bit less for him from this past season.
Don't see Douby or Price getting 20 MPG.
One reason is that Bibby is not a true point guard. He is more of a OG that handles the ball.
Bibby is more of a scoring PG, but Bibby definitely is a good play-maker as well, as he's shown many times.
Indeed. Bibby set up Martin for his game 3 buzzer shot winner. Bibby probably deserves more credit for that win than Martin.
Bibby got the ball, but Kevin did have to sprint the court in record time, be in the right place to receive Bibby's pass AND make an impossible shot while fending off Tim Duncan.
All things considered, I still think it will forever be known - at least to Kings fans - as THE SHOT. (And, for me, it's a welcome replacement in my mind to what had been known as the shot...) Just like 49er fans know immediately what I mean when I talk about THE CATCH.
I'm not knocking Martin at all, believe me, it was no small feat, but how many guys could have made that play happen like Bibby did?
Not hard to foul someone to take the ball away.

If you dont want to see a foul, you won't look for one. It wasn't called cause none of the refs had a good angle, but the camera did. It was a foul. We got away with it, and that's rad, and it led to one of the best plays in Kings history...but it started with a foul.It wasn't a foul.
^ whether or not it was a foul, all of my recollection was drowned out by kevin making that shot, a shot that to me made the entire season of pain worth it. just for that one moment of pure exhiliration.
Here is my thing. We are supposed to be so bad on defense and SA was so good and they have the inside post superstar and we have weak interior defense and no shot blocking and Tony Parker blows by everybody and all that jazz. Yet if it wasn't for a 10ft bounce off the back of the rim prayer shot by Barry we are up 2-1.

Oh he may. This myth that Eric Musselman is some sort of blithering idiot who isn't going to ride his established stars to as many victories as he can gather is just that, a myth. He played Jamison nearly 40 a game in his first in G.S., Richardson nearly 38 a game in his second year. There are people on our roster he could play, or try to, but aside from Mike not being real happy with that, we figure to be in a dogfight for playoff position all season long. Unless management makes some moves that clearly indicate that its true rebuilding time, have a hard time seeing Muss throwing games away to see whether Quincy Douby or Ronnie Price can win a game for him.
Finally having a good backup should safely back Bibby's minutes under 40 per game, but we are neither so good nor so bad that he's going to become a 32mpg guy or something. It'll be major starter's minutes, or it will be Muss's head barring a Bibby trade.

...
I think you're mistaking Mike actually playing defense for some great feat.
