After a spanking from the champs Kings started their first losing streak of the season - one of many and some of them will be long. Currently Kings are 0-2 going on 0-3 tomorrow night only one brutal loss away from their season opener which will happen on Tuesday night when we face the Sonics. After tomorrow's loss we only have one game in 5 days and we should use it to do something that would at least make us look presentable. Man, this is hard to watch and there are 80 games left. Damn !

Right now - with what we have - we are the worst team in the NBA. Not just by the way we play or by our record but mostly by what is ahead of us in the long run. This season looks like it is going to be wasted too. We don't have much Young players to develop. What we have is either injured or in legal trouble. Sure we have Douby who will play. Martin is established and Garcia is work in "progress" (depends on whether we have fool moon or not). The rest is either on their way out or stuck without a purpose. We look like a dumpster of "has beens" and "never was" and we just keep acquiring one after another and pretty soon there will be conversations on the playground like
"what are You up to tonight ?"
"not much - I will stop buy and play some minutes as PF for the Kings tonight"
"You can do that ???"
"sure - they have that "leave no bum behind" program on that position"
"but - You really suck playing basketball"
"exactly - the only requirements are the hight deficiency, pulse and the IQ of the room temperature"
Not looking good guys. If You are looking for good news - might want to make that GEICO call.

With 80 games left - I am asking a simple question. When is the next draft ? Pretty legit - don't You think. We better be well represented there. I am talking about at least 2 first round picks and one of the better be top 5. that is all we have to play for this season. Now I don't know what the hell our "big heads' were thinking considering the goal for the season but the way they duct taped this team together - they weren't thinking hard at all. Maybe we should offer a job to some of those "cavemen" because we know - they can do it.

Welcome to the Kings - home of the worst PF trio ever in the history of any civilization known to mankind. It is an impressive collection that no one else has.
Our starter is Kenny " I suck" Thomas. He is the starter so he sets the ton for the rest but coming out sucking very hard from the beginning. It usually last only couple minutes before he showcases the whole repertoire of blowing layups, not defending, not rebounding etc. Since the tone is set - he can sit down because he has done what he is paid for - to kill any fun left while watching the Kings play.
His sub is Shareef " I met Matusalem at the arthroscopic procedure" Abdur Rahim who occasionally makes a shot or has a ball drop in his hands for a rebound. He doesn't play past April 15th and he is a master of meaningless stats.
The 3rd part of this never ending nightmare is Mikki "it is all in my hair" Moore who is only useful to torch Kings which suck for him when he plays for them. He should have come with a warning label which says - "acquire only if comes in the package with Jason Kidd. Jason Kidd is a genius for making that clown look like a basketball player. When he was playing in Europe his code name has "stone hands." He makes Ostertag - look like CWebb.
So I have been wondering lately - what is Previs Ellison doing these days ?

First slight criticism towards the coach from here. you have got to know what You have which isn't much right now anyways. You have to know what You player can do which isn't much. If You like to post up players wait till O.J. light serves his suspension and post him up. Just because You have players occupying C and PF position - it doesn't mean that they know how to play. Stop with the pathetic attempts to post up our front line. We get enough embarrassment as it is right now. We are not asking for miracles or even wins - just ease up the pain please !

I am looking forward to hopefully listen to some other team's commentary feed on the league pass. 2 games in - I can't take those clowns that we generally call Grant & Jerry. Being homer is fine but they are being pathetic. I can't even begin to list old the crap that they were saying because I will get a head ache. I will take a blame for that since I should have pressed a mute the very moment one of them said how KT might play Duncan even. Someone with better nerves should start recording their idiot-isms for lack of better expression so that we can have some fun and ease up the pain. at leats it will make the game more watchable.

So we lost to the Spurs. Not a big deal. We didn't lose this game tonight. We lost it the moment that the schedule came out. Tonight - it was just formality. If Spurs had to - they could have held us to below 50 points tonight - easily. The game was over before the halftime. I am sure that most of the Spurs practice scrimmages are much more challenging that that warmup that had in the first half. Second half - Pop pulled a hand break or his version of the mercy rule so we made it look more presentable. When Your opponent shoots 41% and beats You by 16 which felt like 30 - You are no good. Worst par of all - we aren't much younger than them..

AWARD TIME
TDM award went to Udoka tonight even though Bonner as expected put up a good fight 14/6/2/1 shooting 50% is better than most of the Spurs.
LW-VC award went to Bowen - because I can.
JHA award went to Greene followed closely by SAR and Moore who all had performances worthy of the award
RA and 1 award went yet again to KT who will dominate this award - Roger Federer style.

Mavs are next and they lost to the Hawks tonight. They will be looking for redemption in their home opener and we will be the victim of another massacre. Mavs won't stop like the Spurs did. We have to play hard for 48 minutes. Effort is all we got now. There is no need to talk strategy of the game or areas in which we have to do better if we want to compete. Our season starts on Tuesday and as long as no one gets hurt - we will be okay.

Mavs are contender and we are the punching bag and the question it just - how bad will it get ? They have injury problems themselves but they are too deep to notice it. And while we still don't like them - we have to admit that we aren't in the same league anymore. They are playing for the ring and we are a just a flat speed bump on a long road. Dirk and Terry and Stack will get theirs and the rest will be randomly split. TDM award will go to Bass. The rest of the awards stay in our possession in general and KT & co. in particular. Hopefully, we can look presentable.
