I just saw an article saying that Warriors would be open to trading Steph Curry for the right package. How about our #1 pick and Landry for Steph. I feel like he's the perfect compliment guard to Tyreke, he can play on and off the ball. He also has high basketball IQ and we won't get someone with his credentials for that #1 pick.
What do you guys think?

I don't think it'll happen but I'd do it. Especially since he'll be entering his 3rd year next year and I'm getting tired of dealing with rookies. I'd do it as long as it is top1-2 protected.
Several responses already, but...
According to Wiki, his injury in college was an ACL. But he's never had any trouble in the NBA, and I think this is a morbid attempt at humor given the Oden/Roy/Camby issues this year.
I'm a little confused by this statement. To the best of my knowledge Landry has no history of knee injuries. He had a foot injury at Purdue and had to sit out one year, but has had no reoccurence of the injury. The only other thing I can remember was, while with the Rockets he was shot in the leg while sitting in his car at a fast food resturant by a random drive by shooter. The wound wasn't serious and I think he only missed 3 or 4 weeks.
So I don't know where they get the knee injury stuff.
With ACL injuries a lot relies on the athlete to do what is considered a pretty grueling rehab. TEchniques have gotten much better. Some palyers who have had ACL surgeries (as seen by a search of several sites):I should have researched farther. The first Wiki that came up didn't mention the ACL injury. But if I typed in injury, a different one came up and did mention it. However if never said how servere the injury was. Whether it was a strain of a tear or whatever. I agree with you though on the humor part since he's had no problems since, and ACL problems aren't nearly as bad as knee problems that require microfracture surgery..
It remains to be seen how weak the draft will be. I'm a little higher on it than some, and it never hurts to have an additional first round pick. The pick could used to comsumate a possible trade at some point. It could also be used as a fallback, if we were to deal our original first round pick in a trade. To be honest, some of the players that I really like, and that might fit the Kings needs, aren't worthy of a top 5 pick, but would be a nice pickup in the middle of the round.
When you consider that the Maloofs are trying to find money anywhere they can, its probably a win/win as far as they're concerned.
Westphal ahs already shown he would rather bench Cousins for final 16 mins of a game, and play Dally instead, so we can chase our 10th victory of the season.
Done and Done. I think there is some potential great value in the mid to late first round this year. Or package up the 2 second rounders with the later first rounder and move up and get two key pieces.
This season is lost anyway, we might as well play the young guys and see what we have.
You're probably right. I will differ to you when it comes to college basketball, but from what I've seen and read so far, there isn't much to get excited about when picking in the mid-late teens this year. I have no problem with a top 5 pick, because whoever we draft there should be able to step in and help us next year. I don't really see the point in getting even younger than that by taking what could amount to a project later in the 1st round. IMO, aside from our top pick, this team needs to start surrounding its youth with vets(who still have a few years at the top, a Granger/Wallace type), instead of going even younger.
If we had a different coach, and this organization had shown the ability to develop young talent, I might feel differently. Tyreke is getting his time, and so is Cousins. Same as Omri, finally, to a certain extent. But the way in which Westphal/Petrie have developed JT/Donte/Omri(up until a few months ago), by constantly altering their roles and playing times, makes me nervous about drafting someone who isn't ready to step in immediately.
Going into next season, I can see the same type of marketing as we saw this past summer, talking playoffs and "Here We Rise" type stuff. Wins and losses will mean more next year. We will most likely sign at least 2 FA's who can step in and help. I could see it being a mess for a rookie who needs time and patience. We already have one in Whiteside who will need to be developed over the next couple of years, and I'm not confident in this organizations ability to develop more than one youngster at a time going forward. Westphal ahs already shown he would rather bench Cousins for final 16 mins of a game, and play Dally instead, so we can chase our 10th victory of the season. And that is one example of many. What will happen with Donte once Cisco comes back?
Of course getting something for Landry is better than him walking and getting nothing. It will free more time up for JT, and possibly Whiteside. I am waiting to see what Petrie does with our cap space after the new CBA is in play. It's a waiting game, and I'm not crucifying Petrie at this point, and will take a wait and see approach. I'm well aware next summer is when Petire will look to make a splash in FA.

KNICKS/KINGS trade
This is really a way for the Knicks to get some big guys to play with them because they need some bigger bodies and they get a SF and the Kings get a SF and a C that can get some playing time in the Kings lineup while on loan.
KINGS GET: Curry, Chandler, Mason
KNICKS GET: Landry, Casspi, Dalembert, '13 protected 1st or 2nd round pick

KINGS/GRIZZLIES/PACERS Trade
KINGS GET: Granger, Thabeet, S.Young
GRIZZLES GET: Casspi, Dunleavy, Protected Future 1st Rnd or 2nd Rnd
PACERS GET: Landry, Mayo, Garcia, 2nd Rnd
Kings would be giving up the 1st/2nd Rnd picks and aquire Granger
Grizzles get a young SF and shooter in Dunleavy but they get rid of Mayo for future picks and don't lose scoring and gain defense
Pacers get SG in Mayo and backup SG Garcia but they really get a much needed a big man to help out the front line with Landry and a possible future 1st rnd pick
Most of the contracts are short term and don't hurt teams salary caps expect for Granger in which the Kings want a player like him for a longer term.
Not overly thrilled with this trade. I have no use for Curry, and I'm not a big fan of Mason's. I like Chandler, but I'm not sure he's that much beter than Casspi down the road. So I'm not sure I'd trade Casspi straight up for Chandler, much less throw in a draft pick, and I wouldn't come close to giving up a first round pick. In your trade your giving the Knicks a good defensive center and a PF that can score 15 pts a game and Casspi and a first round pick. Potentially 4 servicable players, and in return, were getting 1 servicable player, because I don't consider either Curry or Rodger mason players I want on my team.

Not a whole lot to this rumor, but I would sure as hell hope Petrie is looking for a little more than what would be a mid-late 1st rounder and cash.

Watch out, word is that the Pacers are going to be cleaning house... hopefully Petrie is reading this board.

He has not been mentioned in trade talk although that may not mean anything.
Actually he has. Lots of rumors flying around that Granger may be available.
