So we lose Artest, our 10th pick and throw in KT and all we get is Gasol??

No thanks we don't need to get rid of anybody that bad. Maybe without the #10 pick then we can talk

Uh, actually I'd say this is a ridiculously good deal for the Kings. So good, in fact, that there's no way either the Lakers or the Grizzlies would ever agree to this.

How about Kings trade Artest to Lakers for Walton (sign and trade) and their #19 pick?

Kings end up with a young "team" player and a nice pick in a deep draft. Lakers end up with a "now" player for Kobe before its too late.

No Kings fan in their right mind should want Walton on the Kings, especially at the price of Artest...#19 isn't worth it...the only piece the Lakers have that could net Artest IMO is Bynum...if that doesn't happen...move along.

Sorry, but I'm in my right mind and to get Nick Young from USC at #19 and Luke Walton for Artest would be more than all right. Walton is a very good basketball player - not sure what you're basing the disdain on?

I must add that I've long lobbied for losing 2 of the following (Bibby-Artest-Martin and Salmons). Along with my proposed Laker swap of course I'd love to trade either Bibby or Martin to get the long needed big.

Just squeezin in a deal for this topic.

I can't stand Walton...why pay Walton similar type of money as Artest for SIX seasons when you can have Artest for 1-2 seasons who is also a VASTLY superior overall player. #19 is nice, but not at the expense of a Walton/Artest swap that just IMPROVES the Lakers and puts the Kings back into salary cap hell long term.

IF we deal Artest, and IF we deal Artest to the LAKERS the asking price starts and ends with Bynum....if they'd can't deliver that, look eastward to Miami for J-Will, Wright, #20
