Alright, so, there are rumors cropping up that Kirilenko is on the block yet again, which has more urgency for the Jazz since they want to try and keep Boozer next offseason without going over the luxury tax. I think we could make them a pretty competitive offer.
Salmons
Bobby Jackson
Shelden Williams
for
Andre Kirilenko
Here's why the Jazz might think about it. Salmons steps in as their starting SF alongside Brewer and would be a good glue guy for them. Bobby Jackson gives them the veteran backup PG they need, and Shelden.... well, he's expiring. The most important aspect of this deal is that they get $10 million in expirings this offseason to retain Boozer.
And I think this makes sense for the Kings. Kirilenko is still only 27 and while he's never really meshed with Sloan he's still a defensive game changer and could be a good complement with Martin. The biggest consideration for the Kings is that his contract stretches past 2010, but take Salmons out of the mix and there still could be some cap room if things are handled correctly.
Also, this deal couldn't officially happen for another two months because Bobby Jackson was just traded, so we'd have to start another countdown.
