Kings/Grizzles

Kings
Ron Artest

Grizzlies
Mike Miller

Kings get a star shooter(kinda like peja/artest deal). memphis is looking for expiring, and rumors they want to trade miller. he has 2 years left on his deal.

He is a better rebounder than artest and he is just as good of a passer. alittle bit taller also. he is 6 in 3pts made, 10th in 3pt %.

also 1 year younger.

I like Mike Miller, but the I don't think the team can have 2 Millers on it! :p
The guy is one of the best shooters in the league and has an amazing range even well beyond the arc. With the talk of Artest ready to explode, I can see why we should get something for him and with Memphis liquidating the entire team, especially the crazy Gasol trade...I'd be happy with us getting Mike Miller.

This is a horrible deal for the Kings, on all levels.

1) It doesn't help us rebuild, as Mike Miller is in his prime now
2) It doesn't give us cap relief, because we take on salary
3) If we wanted to win now, it's a talent downgrade.
4) It doesn't help our 2/3 logjam at all, it only compounds it

Mike Miller is a heck of player, underated around the league. He and K-Mart would compliment each other perfectly -- I'd do this deal. It would help our team chemistry, help our ball movement, and floor spacing, and help us play more like last night on a consistent basis.

Problem is I think the Grizz may think they are done clearing cap room after giving away Gasol for bird seed.

I would add Miller to a short list of players out there that Petrie would realistically pull the trigger on in a deal involving Artest:

David Lee
Michael Redd
Mike Miller

Nene belongs nowhere near this list, BTW. If we cannot make a deal that makes clear sense, let Artest play out his contract and find a better deal somewhere else. A sign-and-trade is more realistic then, and teams will get more flexible (read: generous) when negotiating such an arrangement.
