Kings Fan’s TV Show Draft! - Round 20

You did that on purpose. It's on now, KG4. It's on.

OMG! LMAO! You are killing me Spike... Ok, if you really want it then I will trade you that for Jeopardy but you MUST include the shirtless pic of Alex Trebek!!! :p
Are you still upset that I won the classic car draft last year?? :D LOL!

I've still got quite a few newer shows on my list that I'm worried about losing, but since my next pick is one that I think could have (should have) gone in the first round, I just can't leave it sitting there any longer.

Jerktastic!

To continue:
Lauren Graham runs into my office, mouth running a million miles a minute: "That Space Lothario has been slinking around the Star's Hollow set all day. He's been making advances towards myself and Alexis; he even refused to get out of the shot in Luke's Diner and threatened to stun him! How can I work with this predator on the lot?"

"Sir, she is the most. Incredibly beautiful woman I have. Ever seen. I mean, it's not like there are much. Hot women on the studio lot. That science babe. Burned me with a Bunsen burner."

Me:"So I need more babes?"
Lauren: "I would prefer fired; but if you suspend him and keep him away..."
Kirk: "So many more babes."
Me: "I have just the thing."

What we really wanna see

There. Problem solved.

Happy! Happy! Joy!Joy!

My shows are rapidly disappearing! This one may have been safe for another few rounds, but I'd be bummed to lose it, much like Beavis and Butthead:

The Ren and Stimpy Show 1991-1996

What rolls down stairs, alone or in pairs, rolls over your neighbors dog...... :D

Grr. If it's not one, it's the other.

Not only that, I'm still mad that my Vlade Deluxe was rejected by the commish.

So you're getting revenge on TWO generations of my family? What's next? Taking toys away from the princesses?

:p

Just wait. Little Princess is just a couple of years away from starting to take part in these drafts and I'm sure she'll be even more annoying than her mother and I.

HOW IT'S MADE

I'm not sure why I'm so fascinated by this show, but I am. It really should be a total bore to find out how rubber erasers and steel wool are made, but it sucks me in every time.

LOL...I was flipping one day and I got sucked in to one of the episodes showing how they made a pop up camping trailer. Very interesting show. Nice pick.

I won't be online this weekend - is there an impartial observer who would like to help me out in case my pick comes back? I don't want to slow things up, but I don't want you scavengers snaking my picks, either. :p! (You know who you are.) ;)

I'm thinking either Bricklayer or Mr. Slim would probably be willing to make your pick. I'd offer to help, as would my dear KG4, but I get the feeling you don't trust us.

:p

For my next pick...

Alias 2001-2006

I had several friends work me until I finally caved in and watched...albeit from the finale and hitting episodes backward. But it's fun TV with neat gadgets and international intrigue and fake accents. I'll add more later after my next pick as I'm just about to leave for someplace right now. Since I couldn't have Lost, may as well run with some other of J.J. Abrams work. Sure, Jennifer Garner was great as an action hero but the underappreciated Victor Garber I think was my guy here. The emotionally distant, conflicted father with more secrets than answers. Loved the fast pace and the intricacies of how everything had to work to keep the delicate balance of who worked for whom and who knew what about whom and who was who they said they were and who wasn't. Tho not nearly as mind bending as Lost, the show still gave you a lot to think about.

One of the funniest pairings of all time - Tim Conway and Harvey Korman - can still make me laugh after all these years. I cannot wait any longer for this pick...

The Carol Burnett Show - 1967-1978

My next pick is also a comedy, but one that I probably could have waited on. It was outrageous and hilarious for its time, so I'm going to start Round 8 with ...

Soap - 1977- 1981

Good thing you took Soap Mom! It would not have made it back to you! I watched every episode of this show with you and loved every minute of it! I only have one question, why couldn't you find a picture with Billy Crystal in it?? :p

I was hoping someone would pick this!

quick pick...hoped to have more time to get to both descriptions, but alas no. But to keep things moving along...

Mission Impossible 1966-1973

Mission Impossible was just super cool and slick to me as a kid. Loved the opening theme song so much I own the sound track to the series. Peter Graves as the ultimate assembler - it was always neat to watch him rip through his portfolio to figure out who he was going to use on the mission. The self destructing tape, the weird places he had to go to HEAR the self destructing tape. The intrigue of being disavowed if you got burnt on your mission. Locales were always fun, Barney always had the cool gadgets and the tech skills to pulls stuff off. I loved this show and own episodes to run my own marathon.
