Kings Fan’s TV Show Draft! - Round 20

Sorry...I'll delete that post. Here's my corrected pick for Round 10...

3rd Rock from the Sun - 1996-2001

Reno 911! - 2003 - 2009

Yes, unfortunately this show was recently cancelled. A great spoof of reality TV and especially classic if you have spent anytime in Reno.

TWIN PEAKS (1990-1991)

This show was awesome....especially in its first season. Dark and moody, with wonderfully strange characters. And I loved every minute of it. I'll never forget the theme song either....simple and eerie.

Picking for Spike:

Good Eats

Never heard of it myself; it appears to be some kind of cooking show.

EDIT - Is this a serpentine draft? If so, I guess ryanandty is next... I think...

So I get a call from my brother at the office:

Brother: "Hey Ryan."
Me: "What the heck do you want?"
Brother: "I am telling you, you should lead the draft on _____"
Me:"What? I don't even like _____"
Brother: "So what, that dude ********* looks like he's got something like it up his sleeve."
Me: "They all got something up their sleeves, it's a competition."
Brother: "Take ______ or you'll be sorry."
Me: " Man I got an award winner on my desk right now, give me a great reason."
Brother: "Trust me, they'll love it"
Me: "Next round. This has to get drafted or somebody will pick it up, then I got no cop drama."
Brother: " I'm telling ya, you're gonna go down."

I hang up the phone and ponder for quite a while. Perhaps he has something here. In the meantime, I sign off on:

The Shield (2002-2008)

Crap, now I'm worried about that dude *********.

I'm still pretty sitcom heavy, but how can I ignore this show any longer? With my 9th pick I select:

That '70s Show (1998-2006)

I'm a little late responding, because I hadn't bothered to open this thread until Spike asked me to stand in for him... but this is the best scene from That 70's Show:

Still haven't gotten a feel for whether or not this next pick would be safe, but it was next on my list so I'm not going to over think it.

Moonlighting - ABC (1985-1989) -- I love this show in general, and Bruce Willis' character is one of my all time favorite smartasses.

Great pick. I loved the show until the final season... then the contrived relationship just grated on my nerves.

I am officially in big trouble. In the beginning of this draft, I had my hubby give me two shows that he wanted to choose if he were on the island. Well, I thought both of them would be safe for a while. Well, Thanks to D Mass and His last pick, (great pick by the way) I am down to only one hubby show... So, with my next pick, For my hubby and plus this show really makes me laugh out loud.

Jackass (2000-2002)

Another guilty pleasure pick coming up right here ..

With my 10th pick I select The OC (2003-2007)

Man, those were the days. It was the high school show when I was in high school .. something I could kind of relate too at the time. I remember watching this show thinking California was absolute paradise ( can you blame me? whenever I watched it I was freezing in the snow over here in MA ) .. The OC is known as a Drama/Soap to people who havent watched it, but what made the show for me was the comedy aspect. Seth Cohen (Adam Brody) was excellent in it .. same goes for Peter Gallagher ( Sandy Cohen ). Sure, after the first season the show got progressively worse, but that tends happens to a lot of shows, and I stuck with it. It'll be nice to have this show on my island to remind myself of those high school years. good times.

I need to add some music programming to my station and MTV was the obvious choice here. Unplugged refers to acoustic performances :). With my 10th selection, I choose:

MTV Unplugged (1989-Present)
[yt=Tears in Heaven]kkgGXadbUj0[/yt]
[yt=The Man Who Sold The World]209ArurxVG4[/yt]
[yt=Outside]iZtHC6EwvL4[/yt]
Performers include: Bryan Adams, Neil Young, Paul Simon, Eric Clapton, Sheryl Crow, Aerosmith, Elton John, Bob Dylan, Nirvana, Paul McCartney, Pearl Jam, R.E.M., The Cranberries, The Cure, Tony Bennett, Stone Temple Pilots, and so much more :).
