[Game] Kings @ Clippers - Sunday, Jan. 27 - 12:30PT, 3:30ET

You can argue whether or not WCS was fine today before this last trash stretch, but he needs to be out and is not the long term option at all

We’ve become a jumpshooting team as of late, and after years of watching Brad Miller and Peja, we should know that doesn’t work. We’re too athetlic to settle like this

We were down ten and freaking Yogurt goes with the small ball line up around WCS and we are down 17. If Joeger can’t figure out this line up never works we need to find a coach who can figure it out.

Another dud vs the Clippers that have played out the exact same way each time. Kings fall behind early and then trade baskets while Harrell goes off

And our small ball lineup is really small. Shump and Bog as the 2nd tallest players on the floor in all of their 6'6" glory...no.

I'm with it. Dude brings mad intangibles along with improving defense. Shot is still inconsistent, but he moves the ball better than Shump.[/QUOTE
He also brings a lot of 0-4, 0-5 type of games, telegraphed passes and bad turnovers, gets burned a ton, etc. He’s not start material

Gosh, I defend Willie all game and then he makes me look dumb by having a 4th quarter like this.
his blood-thc level was just spot on for a stretch in the 3rd. Guess we just need a better team pharmacist for him.

I can't stand the guy

Thing is too if u have JJ transition to the starting SF and it goes well, Bagley starting at PF is the next domino to fall.

That ultimately is probably what Vlade is hoping for... I would love to see a test run tbh.

I think Dave is a really good coach, but we have one of these types of games every third or fourth game it seems, and then I start to thinking that maybe Brandon Williams isn’t so crazy. This was a bad road trip from a process-oriented standpoint. We ended up scraping out two results, but we were 0-6 on actually playing good basketball.

He gets no respect. Kings act like he’s not even out there

It's not that, they are well aware he's out there. If you see Harrell he's excellent at high-pointing balls and snatching rebounds with his hands, thats what he does, he's very acrobatic too....... he's tough and strong, so it's very difficult to deter him....

What the Kings need is a bruiser to come off the bench, and they dont have that, Koufos is not suitable in this matchup... so it is what it is. They are disadvantaged. Luckily the trade deadline is approaching......

they might as well. Coach Yogurt is scheduling losses now (Toronto and today) so might as well just go all out and play kids. And I like coach, but ... they threw away the game today and then made the rest of the game a fun devil-may-care miracle seeking scrimmage... it is no way to handle things if you are serious. I'm pissed

Would rather look at Buddy/Bogdan. I’d prefer Jackson to Shump, but he’s not hacking a bench slot currently, let alone a starting one

The playoffs aren’t going to be possible for this incarnation, but .500 would be great

I want to see starting:

Bagley
Giles
JJ
Buddy
Fox

We really, really must be featuring WCS for a trade.

But I don't think coach is the type to make wholesale changes to a starting lineup. It's time for at least Bagley.

The only thing that needs to start is Fox going to the basket early. Three games vs Clippers and he always shows he could’ve easily gotten to the rim the entire time once the Clippers build up a double digit lead. I think he’s finished with strong numbers in each game but he’s had poor bad 1st quarters in each game and each game the first quarter is the difference.

Some teams you just don’t match up well with. The Kings are still a little physically immature in comparison to the Clips. They got some hard nosed players on that team.

Yeah, pretty much.

I've defended WCS a lot lately, I think he does bring a lot to the table that people may not give him enough credit for, but he's soft. Bogi is soft, I'm sick of him watching rebounds. Fox, Bags, and Giles are a scrappy bunch, but like you said, they're still basically scrawny kids out there.

And I'm not really trying to bash on WCS or Bogi here. I think we can definitely be a winning team with those guys playing a lot of minutes, but until our core kids pack on some pounds (they need at least 60, between the three of them) we gotta bring in some feisty bruisers.

Rebounding and interior defense remain major weak spots. That's easy to exploit if you have a guy like Harrell who's willing and able to throw his body around like a maniac.

But then our bench is Bjelica and Koufos assuming WCS gets traded. Now that's ugly.

Giles should stay on the bench for now. Bagley def needs to be starting however.
