UPDATE 30 NOVEMBER RE. the Kings@Clippers game on Saturday, 20 February 2010 at Staples Center. So far we have 20 paid KingsFans for tickets for this away game. But we have an additional 13 KingsFans who have expressed interest in buying tickets to the game. The Clippers Group Sales lady is pushing hard for us to submit final payments in the next week for all the tickets we want for this game so they can print the tickets for us.

Those shown in BOLD red indicated interest but have not yet purchased tickets. Would love to get feedback from this group to get as many tickets they want (or not).

NOTE: To get the great $54 ticket rate per seat in the lower level (normally $80 seats) you will have to buy them as part of the KingsFans Group. We have 20 paid so far (the minimum to get the rate) and can handle 10-15 more but only if we have payments in very soon.

Those of us in San Diego-Orange County were looking at taking the Amtrak train leaving San Diego at 3:00pm on that saturday arriving in downtown LA at 5:45pm. From there I am arranging 6 passenger mini-van taxis to Staples Center at about $10-$12 each roundtrip. BUT now we are considering car pooling as a cheaper solution and sharing gas and parking.

This is looking like a super fun party and game with some great extras. So let's go KingsFan, time is short to get your tickets.

CruzDude, are you saying we need 5 more participants in order to get the lower level block seats for 54$? Or are you saying we need atleast 5 more for us to even go at all? Im still in.
 
I am still in as well and you can count me for 2 if you havent already. I live in LA so the Magic Johnson statue outside of staples is easy to find and could be a good place for us all to meet before the game. There is also an ESPN Zone right across the street that could be fun/easy for us to meet at as well.
 
im down, i live in los angeles so.... hell i live downtown, i can walk to staples center.

We need minimum of 20 participants in order to get the group rate of $54. Otherwise, if we want to sit in lower level next to the Kings entry/exit tunnel tickets and there is less than 20 in our group, it would cost $80 per ticket. If we go for cheaper seats, they are up in back of lower level or up upstairs in nose bleed section and we would not have the "line-the-tunnel" experience.

KINGS FANS...NEW UPDATE....SUN, 6 SEPTEMBER...

NEED TO GET MORE CONFIRMATIONS FOR OUR KINGS KROWD GOING TO "THE GAME". SO FAR WE HAVE 10 CONFIRMED AS OF 9/6/09.

BELOW IS LIST OF THOSE CONFIRMATIONS TO GO TO A KINGS-CLIPS GAME AT STAPLES ARENA. IF EACH OF YOU, WHO HAVE NOT YET CONFIRMED, WILL PLEASE SEND ME A MESSAGE BY CLICKING ON THE "CruzDude" NAME TO THE LEFT CONFIRMING YOUR INTENT TO BUY A TICKET(S) TO ATTEND THE GAME I WOULD APPRECIATE IT.[/size]

Once I get at least 20 confirmations for seats I'll collect the money for the tickets through PAYPAL online. For those who don't have a PayPal account, will need to have you mail me a check. I have a PAYPAL account and credit card that I can use to pay for the tickets which will then come to me in a single batch. I have to pay a $100 deposit now to reserve our block of seats then The Clips folks will give us a couple of month window to get the full payment in to them.

Urgent Update 25 Sept ! ! ! !

Today, Friday 25 September, the Clips group person called to say they need to get 50% deposit for our group of 20 or more by 9 October, their first preseason home game.

We have 17 confirmations in √ list below (as of Sat, 9/26). Need to get 20 minimum to get sweet deal on tickets and other benefits. Those shown in BOLD red indicated interest but have not confirmed. Need help in getting feedback from this last group to get as many confirmations as possible.

Those of us in San Diego-Orange County are looking at taking the Amtrak train leaving San Diego at 3:00pm on that saturday arriving in downtown LA at 5:45pm. Then taking the Red Line from Union Station to within 3-4 blocks of Staples center. This should get us into Staples by 6:30pm, an hour before game time. If the majority want to come up earlier, great. I just need to know for planning.

Once we get the minimum of 20 confirmed, I will send out an invoice and ask for payment via PayPal. If anyone does not have a PayPal account please let me know and you can send a check to me.

As of 10:30pm, Thursday 1 October we now have 21 confirmations to get our group rate of $54 in lower section 106 for the Kings @ Clippers game at Staples Center 20 Feb 10 I'm making reservations for a total of 25 so if more what to join us now is the time to do it.

So I'm in for 1 ticket, right? Since I'll have to come down from Sacramento, it won't be cheap for me, but I'm really looking forward to the game and meeting some fellow Kings fans. :D

thanksfor the feedback KF now if only we can get to the others who expressed interest maybe we can reach the magic number of 25 fans for our group.

For those interested, I will get all tickets once the Clips have received full payment. Probably best way then will be to pass them out just before the game then no mail issues. But up to those confirmed. I'll do what ever anyone wants as long as I have real names to go along with your KF handle. :)
 
I would love to go, but with my unreliable job schedule at this time I can't commit to anything. Wish I could tag along; I'm seriously bummed.

Instead of changing the first post in the thread, you might just continue to update in thread format since that's what everyone here is used to.

KINGS@Clippers 20 Feb 2010, KingsFans group UPDATE

UPDATE as of 12 October

With the addition of 2 additional seats by chris19r87 we now have 26 confirmations for the Kings @ Clips game 20 Feb 10.

Final reservations go in Monday 12 October. The Clips may, and I stress MAY, hold a few more for a week or two in our immediate group but after that they will be sold to the public as they are very good seats.

Thanks folks, looks like this will be a blast!!!! :D

BTW had great lunch with Bajaden down in Ensenada this week. He will be the southernmost KingsFan to join our group for the game.

Just recruited 2 more to join our group for the Clips game at Staples Center on Feb 20. Met "JD" at the Lakers game, a long time Kings fan now working at Edwards AFB, who attended with his father and uncle who came down from Sacramento. Welcome to the Kings Krowd!! :D

JD and I met at the Kings-Lakers preseason game in Las Vegas with his dad and uncle sitting in the row behind me and who both still live in Sacramento area and are also Kings fans. UPDATE, 14 NOV. LET's GET MORE GOING!

On Friday, 13 Nov, the Clippers called and said they are holding a total of 30 seats for our KingsFans.com crowd for the Feb 20 Kings game at the Clippers in Staples center. I have received payments for 19 with 6 more coming for a total of 25. So folks, time running short to join our fun group for this game. If you live in LA-Orange County-San Diego area, let me know. We can still get you in.
