I happen to not think much of Muss, but it would really be a stretch to expect HIM to intentionally tank at this stage of things. So the decision should have been taken out of his hands.
If tanking is such a simple proposition, why aren't these other teams not benching their starters (like Muss did with 4 of ours in crunch time today)?

Well, Muss is TRYING to save his job...
Knicks are going to lose to Toronto. We drop to 10th I think. Man this just SUCKS. This day could not get any worse for us.
Right, that's because they already traded away their draft pick to Chicago. And check out those Knicks...they seem to have not gotten the tank memo either, as they stay close to Toronto at the end with Francis and Curry logging huge minutes.
They can't bench their starters because they already took them out for the season. Ray Allen, Zach Randolph, Joe Johnson, Paul Pierce, Mike Miller, Damon Stoudamire, Bobby Simmons, Michael Redd, Kevin Garnett, David Lee, Stephon Marbury, Earl Watson, and about 20 other guys: all out for the season for lottery teams. And a lot of those guys are out for things like bruises, or treatment of medical conditions which their own doctors said could wait. Non-lottery teams? The Spurs are missing Mel Ely, the Suns are missing nobody, the Heat are missing Gary Payton, Dallas is missing DJ Mbenga. Do the math.If tanking is such a simple proposition, why aren't these other teams not benching their starters (like Muss did with 4 of ours in crunch time today)?
We tied all 3 season series with these bottom dwelling competitors, but I'm not sure how tie breaks would work, or if they just flip a coin betwen those tied with the same records for the final lottery positions.
