Yeah, it sucks.

But, it isn't like it follows him around. The only team that wasn't in the can BEFORE Reef got there was Sacramento.

He's easily the most efficient and arguably the best player on the team right now.

So, I guess I should ask King's fans if it hurts to watch their "Big 3" struggle so mightily and become the weak link on the starting unit?
I wasn't trying to insult you... and it does suck to watch the "not so big 3" suck night in and night out. Whatever man.

while this is absolutely true - it is the part of the problem. A team where SAR is the man - will not make a PO. Now if we had someone (or 2) the SAR would just complement too - different story. Back to the begining of the season This team will go as far as Mike and pedja can "carry" it - which is nowhere good

Bull. You're some guy from Texas who claims to be a Kings fan but actually doesn't like anyone but SAR.
Actually, if we want to talk semantics - I'm from Canada and grew up in Georgia.

I just happen to reside in Texas.

You're not a huge Chris Webber fan. If you were, you'd be talking about how he's matured, how his game has morphed into something that is still very valuable.
I would? Thank you for explaining to me exactly how I would respond. I'm glad you know how I would and should act better than I know myself.

Do you realize how condesencing that is?

I have ALWAYS liked Chris Webber. Before Shareef, my cousin loved Webber. This was before I really watched the NBA. But, I watched Webber with him and followed him.

I've got a HUGE soft spot for him.

Comparitively it's nothing compared to the sport i've got for Reef ... so when people start saying Chris Webber, as if Reef isn't doing a good job ... I get damn defensive. I'm NOT going to say he's matured and all that nonsense.

Thanks though.

Sorry, dude, but your shtick has gotten very tiresome.
Sorry, dude, but it isn't a shtick and your arrogance and lack of basketball acumen (and general tact) is quite tiresome.

My bad then.

I'm just getting kidney punched by VF21 and took it out on you then. My bad.

Reef is avg 6.5 Webber 10.1 ...see the difference? Reef is a weak-*** rebounder...he sucks, he's awful on the boards, can I make it any clearer?
Reef grabs 9.5REB per 48.
Reef allows 10.0REB per 48.

Webber grabs 12.5 REB per 48.
Webber allows 11.0 REB per 48.

Webber is DEFINITELY a better rebounder ... no question. It wasn't a question before the season, it won't be one after ... it isn't one now.

So, go ahead and make yourself clear or cloudy.

The issue though is NOT that Reef's weak rebounding numbers are killing us.

From what I've seen you don't know much about basketball, or what a team with Reef or Webber as a big part of the offense is capable of doing.. sorry Bro, more and more losing for Reef, anyone else sensing a pattern here?

I'm not sure I'm willing to concede that.

It's quite possibly true.

But, I'm sure if the right cast is there supporting Reef's efforts - this statement is invalid.

Surround Reef with some defenders and I think this statement is false. Right now we've got a million and one scorers and no real defenders.

Of course, all that COULD be wishful thinking. I just think Reef is a good enough scorer to get it done ... the issue isn't there. The issue is the pieces with him.

If you've got Reef as a key cog, you NEED a big bodied, mean SOB at center.

While I rarely agree with playmaker, tonight (or any other night this season) was not about Reef.

i feel that webber's contributions were more than just numbers though. with him, life for mike and brad was much easier, and could've been for peja if webber wanted it to be. with reef, however, it's not the same smooth running operation. just my two cents.

FWIW, from what I've seen of SAR, he's a *very* good player. But he's not a franchise type player. The Kings don't have a franchise type player.

The fact that Shareef is on the team now is not the reason the Kings are doing poorly, not by a long shot. The Kings don't have a leader and they don't have a bench. They have a lot of good complementary pieces, but no one to play around.

Shareef would be fantastic coming off the bench behind Webber... if only!

This board is getting so ridiculous. Webber Webber Webber blah blah blah. Can't the Kings just lose without a millionth rehash of the trade?

Okay, champ. I'm ignorant.

Kind of like how I didn't know what a Princeton Offense was. Everyone told me how wrong I was until Brick came behind and said the same thing. Then everyone changed their tune.

Yeah, I'm dumb.

That's funny.

You're trying to insult me by saying your team sucks. That's quite funny.

1. I'm not a dude.

2. You have already been removed from this board once.

3. I have been a Kings fan since 1985. I'm not some Johnny-come-lately player fan who arrived when his favorite player came to the team and all of a sudden decided he knew more than any of the loyal fans who have been here a long time, talking about the team, sharing highs and lows, etc.

NOTE: I generally have nothing against player fans whatsoever, but it's you - and your alter ego "cousin" - who have, right from the beginning made it clear that you think you and you alone know more about team than any of us who have bled purple for years and years.

You really need to give some credit to people who have followed the Kings a lot more closely than you have.

Peace. Merry Christmas.

I'm not even talking about Reef, or his seeming allergic reaction to rebounding... I am talking about the loss of C-Webb and the impact it has had on this team which has gone 26-32 since he has been traded.

Honestly, I don't understand why we're talking about Webber or Reef!

Bingo. It's supposed to be YOUR team, too, remember?

Sorry, but you've done this long enough. Have a happy holiday season!

It wasn't the majority of Kings fans who started it. And, for better or worse, it's over now.

It actually started with a comment I believe I made about Peja passing up open shots and forcing other Kings into turnover situations. It went downhill from there...

Look I hate to do it, I really do, but this team is now close to being the worst team in the entire Western conference. They can't beat even the worst teams with any consistancy, and they have been a sub .500 team since Feb 23rd of last year, I hate to say I told you so...but seriously This team sucks right now, and it's not fun to watch. I'm pissed off, and I think I have a right to be. This team is straight up awful and there is really no way around it at this point. I can't point out why I think that is? I told everyone this would happen, and now it is, WTH should I say?

Fair enough...I agree with you, I just wondered how the conversation about this game got to that point.

And I think we're all pissed off together. ;)

I know D-Mass it's just this sucks and I could see it coming...that's all.

I was OK with the trade as long as those 3 players became valuable trade pieces later on. The problem is that we still have those players, two of which almost never play.

It would have been Ok if Peja could have stepped up, but it just hasn't happened. We are stuck with those other 3 contracts now.. Petrie(or the Maloofs) picked the wrong guy.
