Wow. Just wow. David Kahn sure is a genius at running a team. A thirty-two point win hasn't come very often to this team.
The absolute turning point in this game came when Westphal put Donte in on a surging Michael Beasley. Buckets of course responded by playing perhaps the best 12 minutes he has put together all season, if not his career. 13 points in 14 minutes is scoring at a Kevin Durant pace.
For some reason very one played well last night (aside from Demarcus and Cisco) with the fourth quarter culminating in a 21-0 run (yes, you read that right). To put things in perspective, Jermain Taylor played the last 5 minutes of the game and put up 7 points. Pooh Jeter went berserk and posted 13 points, 6 assists, 5 steals, and even managed to grab 2 boards.
Sammy D in the past ten or so games has put together a Bonzi Wells-like string of performances. Who knew that he had a semblance of an offensive game to go with the rebounding and goalie capabilities? Unfortunately, this probably means we have to pay out of the nose to keep him if he keeps this up.
Luke Walton Vacuum Cleaner Award for suckiness: Johnny Flynn. The second he came in was when we took control of the game.
Jason Hart (Andres Nocioni) Award for suckiest player on our team: Omri who was our one bench player who actually made the T-Pups look good.
Mikki Moore Award for Loudness not translating to anything: Demarcus.
1st Quarter Vlade Award: Darko Milicic.
Paul Westphal Award for Excellence in Coaching: Kurt Rambis. Remember when we really wanted to have him coach us? Now not so much.
Kevin McHale Award for Excellence in Building a Winning Team: David Kahn. How'd that picking Wes Johnson decision go for you?
WTF Moment of the Game: Wolves pack it up and leave before the 4th Quarter. David Kahn drools at prospect of replacing Rambis with Westphal. Kevin Loves achieves double-double from locker room.
