KF Kings Prediction Poll #2: Thomas Robinson's Rookie Year

Time for the second when-will-TDOS-ever-end KF Prediction Poll: Predict how TRob's rookie campaign will go.

Voted 2nd team all rookie, just because it's hard to pick the 10 drafted players who will be more productive. He might not make it, but will certainly be in the discussion.

I really wanted to vote for the 10/8 too, because I think he will be very capable of doing what JT did as a rookie. But I see his minutes closer to 20 than 25, and so probably something like a solid 8 and 6. His scoring will be efficient, largely because of his role with the players surrounding him, and he will be limited to garbage baskets.

But he will show flashes of a jumpshot and driving ability, a 15/9 guy when/if the team sorts itself out. Defensively, he will be a rookie. He might make a couple flashy blocks because of his athleticism, but will not show much there.

I went with second team all rookie, 10 pts and 8 rebounds. I actually think 8 pts and 6 rebounds might be closer, depending on his minutes. I do think more is possible. He's quick learner and a hard worker. However, I don't see him taking JT's starting job anytime soon. If he shows improvement, he could earn plenty of minutes by taking them away from Hayes. It wouldn't surprise me to see a three big rotation of Cuz, JT, and T Robb by halfway through the season. Were that to happen, he could make first team all rookie

So far two votes for 8 and 6, I was thinking 9 and 6, but pretty close to the same. Again, limited minutes is going to be a factor here, but it won't hurt for Robinson to take things slow. An injury to JT or DMC obviously changes this, and I figure that we'll see quite a few 15/10 games towards the end of the season, countered by some dud outings (4 fouls in 10 minutes kind of thing) at the outset.

Probably 2nd team all rookie averaging something like 7ppg and 4rpg in about 17mins.

I'm hoping he can be a 6th man type role player. He is definetly not someone you build an offense around, his hustle and quickness would work well as instant energy sub for now.

Pretty much this, with hopefully an in form Hayes being brought in for post defense when we play against elite pf's/ c's.

Just want to see him come in and bring energy, hustle and rebounds off the bench. I'm sure he will give us plenty of that

i think he will make first team all rookie, but i dont think he will play enough or have the ball in his hands enough to be a ROY contender

I voted First Team All Rookie Squad but no ROY due to low minutes as has been said. I like him as the first Big off the bench bringing SPEED not seen much in players his size in the NBA. Hope he Rebounds, Defends, has a ton of put back dunks and generally just out hustles every player on the floor.

I went with 2nd team all rookie simply because I see JT starting at PF due to the salary that he'll be getting. I can't see TR cracking the 1st team all rookie if he's coming off the bench.
