Heh -- when Westphal was coaching the Sonics Hawes was like 10. he was about 5 when he was coaching the Suns. To our kiddie corps Westphal might as well be Dick Motta -- a blast from some distant prehistoric past like before texting and stuff.

I'm impressed with how enthusiastic Kevin Johnson is about Westphal ... and the Kings in general. I wouldn't expect any of the players to be anything but complimentary so Martin's comments just pretty much follow the party line.

I truly beleive we're going to be quite happy with Coach Paul Westphal.

Did as you suggested and in one blog our Kayte viewed her first pre-draft workout and made a great metaphor regarding GP running the pre-draft workouts personally. She said (or words to the effect....), "GP running the pre-draft workouts running up and down with the prospects is kind of like buying a horse. You don't get a horse until you get in the saddle and see what the horse does." I like that. And very true.
