Just Heard ... Mobley & Thomas

#34
I remember when he dropped his career high (41) on Posey. But (and this is a big "but"), Vlade, Doug and Brad set him up all night. Given that though, he did play very aggresively.

Jim Crandall on Fox40 sports:

Jim Crandall - Kings going to be way short of players. Kenny Thomas has traveled back east for personal reasons. He should be back in time for the game Friday. Bibby, Mobley, Miller and Jackson didn't practice today because of injuries. They say Bibby should play tomorrow but not Mobley or Miller.

Brian Skinner (Pharaoh) - When asked what kind of team the Kings are aiming to be, he said "Hard-nosed defense." Crandall almost fell over, saying he didn't think he'd EVER heard those words used to describe the Kings. Skinner smiled and said they were definitely going to focus on defense.

Adelman said while some people are talking about home court advantage, he wants to make sure we make it to the playoffs first. He said that IF everyone is healthy, the Kings are going to cause other teams a lot of problems.

thanks for the info. Glad to hear that Thomas will be back for Friday -- I am going to the game & looking forward to seeing the new guys in action. lol about the hard nosed defense, that sounds great, I'll take it! REALLY liking Skinner so far.

playoffs will have to be one step at a time. I am confident we'll make it, but have no clue how it will go. Which team will show, the one blown out by Miami or the one that blew out Detroit? We can only hope that with more practices under our belt that better team will take the floor.

it sucks that the team hasnt really been around eachother for that long. And it looks like it will be that way for a few more days, they should all go over to Bibbys house and get to know each other better.Like what Vlade did one time or maybe more when the team was not focusing.

RA never took off for personal reasons.

I'm sorry. I don't understand your comment. While it doesn't happen every day, players do sometimes have to take time off for personal reasons. I have no problem with it whatsoever and organization said Thomas was excused from practice and tomorrow's game, so apparently they don't have a problem either.

How would you like to be Rick G.W.E. Adelman?
Poor guy! But I suppose after all we've been through over the years as far as injuries he should be an expert at it. Hey if worse comes to worse maybe Rick can throw on a jersey and play!

What exactly happened to Brad? I know someone mentioned that he fell into some chairs or something like that against Chicago in one of the threads. Was that what caused his injury? I know he has fluid on it now, but you wouldn't think he would be out for this many games with a bruise (even though I realize it is a little more serious than that)----especially because it's Brad.

he damaged some ligaments aroung his knee i think. if there is fluid there u have to wait until that has gone before he can even consider playing

The Bee this morning said that Thomas had a death in his family and that is why he is not with the team.

Brad actually got kicked in the calf and that's what the problem is......it's not his knee. He had an MRI which showed fluid in the calf area but I'm not really sure what that means.

if peja scores 30+ we will win, but we need everyone to play like they did against detroit
Hmmmm! Well I picked Peja to be leading scorer with 29. Hope it is enough. If Bibby has 27, Skinner has 18, Darius has 16, MO has 15......that is a great start. :)

Poor Thomas...how hard for him to have to be dealing with relocating across the country and then have to go through losing a family member. My heart and prayers are with him while he grieves.
Also, as far as Brad goes I understand that this close to playoff time apart from making sure you make the playoffs you also want your players to be healthy for them so I understand at this point in the season wanting to heal your players now so you don't have to worry about it later. Get better soon Brad, Cat and Bobby!!!!! We're gonna need you!

That just means that we need a big game out of Darius. Even though he is starting now, Adelman is still only giving him about 4 more minutes a game...let him play and see what he can do!

Well, 8 weeks would put is into May and I don't think it will be that long. Bobby stated it would be the end of this month or early next month. But, I'm thinking it might be around the last week of the season or mid-april.

Wouldn't That Be Nice ???

Mr. Grant Napear RE-ITERATED on KHTK-1140am yesterday that it would take 8-weeks of rehab for B-Jax ....

I guess, just consider the source ... I don't ALWAYS consider Grant as "Gospel Truth" (heh-heh) or a Sports Medicine Guru ... but, there are times when he's IN THE BALLPARK.

I thought BJ was shooting for the last week or so of April. Talk about fitting new guys in on the fly, what about BJ with Mobley and the 3 new guys when HE comes back???

Really sorry to hear about KT having a death in the family - definitely not the best time for that (as if there really ever is a "good" time....).

what u going to do with bibby and peja then. it is a good team but u cant leave those two out
Sorry, what I meant is that Bobby is used to playing with certain guys, several of whom are now gone. He will have to adjust to several new players. I wasn't suggesting that those 5 will all be on the floor together at the same time. Will be interesting to see how well BJ can play D with the new guys, as well.
