Joe Johnson

This whole thing about keeping the same group together is being overdone. You only need to keep the same core. This teams core doesnt consist of more than 4 players. Its perfectly fine to add a new player here and there. You dont have to start with all young players and keep them all together for 5+ years. I dont know if whats being suggested has ever even happened.

Joe Johnson not looking like a #1 guy doesn't surprise me. He's not. He's a talented secondary guy on a top playoff team. Kings still need that second star, but the question from the playoffs now is if JJ has no killer instinct. That is a problem.

The guy has killer instinct. The Hawks were trying to play one on one ball for an entire playoff series against perhaps the best defensive team in the NBA. Consequently all of their players struggled and they got crushed. Ive seen JJ hit enough big shots to not question his killer instinct. He's not old. He is supremely talented and there is no question he would make the Kings a better team. The question is whether or not the price is right. I say probably not.
