Brook Lopez

Rumor is the Rockets have offered Brook Lopez more than 40 mil for 2 years... So we can put this thread to rest with that.. We've been priced out, whether he'd have fit n how it could've worked is a moot point..

Don't forget that Lopez is 35. Winning might mean more to him than money.

I mean, Lopez is a California native I'd think that might have factored into it. But honestly with the Lyles extension being announced, I'd think thats another signal this isn't gonna work. Though I do believe it would have actually been quite viable, and one of the safer ways we could REALLY spice things up, but it wasnt meant to be.

I would still like them to go after Thomas Bryant.
Well one of the perks of signing Thomas Bryant would be that we wouldnt have to face Thomas Bryant! haha.. He'd really help with the boards though, I do wonder what the price will be, and where he'll land. he's sort of floated around. I'm not sure if the Kings would be a spot he's looking for maybe he's gonna wait n see if he can find a bigger role.

I think here he could start next to Sabonis. He fills all the voids in Sabonis' game (good 3pt shooter who doesn't mind playing on the perimeter offensively - has been doing that almost exclusively for the last 2-3 years). Salwart rim protector/defensive anchor. Basically on offense he will open up the lane for Sabonis and fox to work, will cover everyone's defensive lapses at the rim and is tough as nails. Question wouldn't be role but money (Houston - where he does the same for Sengun) and whether Milwaukee or Lakers others are more appealing to him.

2 years 48 mil back to Milwaukee, sheesh.. I underestimated the market for him for sure.. Shoulda known looking at those stats last season
