Jeffery Taylor:

I'd be pretty content with Taylor if we get another mid-first round pick. He does exactly what we need - defend at a very high level, and knock down open shots. He's also a good athlete and seems like a good guy.

It would be nice if we brought him in for a work-out.

If we don't, I'll have to go into the draft believing that even if we do end up with a mid-1st round pick, he won't be the guy we take.

A lot of Mocks have him in the late first. Similar to how Honeycutt was projected before the draft.

I like Taylor even though he hasn't had a whole lot of buzz around him like some other similarly-projected players. Guys like Leonard, Harkless, Lillard, and Rivers come to mind. They were all in the same 'pack' before the pre-draft stuff. His stock seems to have cooled a bit compared to those guys.

I say all that to say this - He could slide to us in the second round. Or if we like him, I could see us moving up a few spots to snag him if he does indeed slide. He's be a welcome addition for sure.

I'll be stunned if he slides into the second round. He would be a major steal there. Unfortunately I agree with Uncia03, in that if we don't bring him in for a look see, I doubt we'll draft him. In the first round at least. I do know that Petrie has seen Taylor, because I saw Petrie at one of the Vanderbilt games.

Taylor's severely underrated in my book. Love the strengths he brings, plus the low downside.

How much would we kill to have a Sefolosha-like player on our team? Defensive-stopper, athletic, developing 3-point range...

#36, 2013 2nd. rd. Pick, Hayes
for
#18, Milicic

With the 18th pick we can choose Jeff Taylor if we miss out on MKG. I'm not sure if Minnesota would do this though?
Hayes played well under Adelman in Houston. Milicic was a dissapointment for Minnesota last season and with Miller possibly retiring would Minnesota consider this?
Milicic's contract is good for 2 more years at around $10.8M. The final year is only 1,755,000 gauranteed if waived before deadline. We can have him for 1 year and should be good competition for Whiteside.
Hayes contract is good for 3 more years gauranteed at around $17.2M. By getting rid of Hayes contract and waiving Milicic's contract next year we could comfortably resign Jason Thompson this offseason.

Let's say its not IMpossible. Adleman has been quoted as saying they need to add vets this offseason if they want to make the playoffs next year.
