Don't Make Me Use The Bat
We are special at home.
Its actually why I may dust off an old old theory I had about one of the reasons the Kings sucked for so many years -- the homecourt advnatage was a BAD thing.

Let me explain -- for years and years and years we were terrible. But the thing was, we were worse than our record showed. We were terrible as in Bottom 5 in the league terrible, but only twice did we ever get picks down within the Top 5. The reason? The homecourt advantage we had gave us artificial victories. Maybe 5-10 a year. And the homecourt advantage is a wonderful thing when you are the top fo the league. But when you are a bad team, we actually shot ourselves in the foot year after year after year. If you had taken those old Kings teams and had them play in the Clippers building for the Clippers fans, the 27 win teams would win 20, the 33 teams might win 25 etc. And so year after year we were in position to draft Joe Kleine, Kenny Smith, Walt Williams, Bobby Hurley etc. rather than Patrick Ewing, David Robinson, Shaq or Zo.

You can see it again. On the road barely competitive. At home, can beat anybody. And so the result is likely again that high 30 sort of season. And again likely a #8-#12 type pick rather than a Derrick Rose. And that's how you get caught. And there's nothing to be done really. But there has been a here we go again vibe to the ways things have gone for a while now.

lol. Gotta give Brick props for finding the poop-colored lining :)

Can't argue with it though...

That is extremely depressing :(

That's why I want us to get rid of Ron and Mike as soon as possible then maybe the home court won't be as much of a force.

Hey, you be depressed and I'll just enjoy seeing the team I love actually come together as a team.

:)

Some of us are never happy. If you can see the bad in the Kings winning at home and then connect it to we won't get as high a draft pick as we should if we lost those games. While true, Wouldn't we all have more fun in letting the Kings organization worry about those things. After all we can lose every game and pick first in the draft and something can go wrong there as well. I prefer to think of the glass as half full instead of half empty.

BTW, I am enjoying watching our Kings on a nightly basis. Fun is back at Arco, Even if the fan base isn't

all of us like to see Kings win.

Some of us just want us to be great again and we know what it costs.

as for bolded - it can certainly be argued one way or the other

key thing really is effort.... you can tell this team is putting a 100% effort with every game soo far, and really thats all most of us fans ask for...

Did you really have to poke the stick in that particular hornet's nest again? We ALL know this but we've pretty much come to terms of not having to bring it up all the time.

:)

oh wow! the kings have beaten some good teams this year ( at home...) i expect that trend to end with kevin out... that doesn't sound good at all... i had secretly been hoping he'd make the all star game ( TOTALLY not expecting it by any stretch of the imagination) but the selfish part of me wanted to see it happen... then this happens.. ouch. rest up kid, it's not the team was going anywhere with ya :(

still, i love the win :D
