SACRAMENTO, CALIF. – The Sacramento Kings today requested waivers on guard Jason Hart. “We wish Jason the best and want to thank him for his contributions and professionalism," said Geoff Petrie, Kings President of Basketball Operations.

Hart, who is in his 6th NBA season and second with Sacramento, averaged 3.3 points (.500 FGs, .500 3FGs, .909 FTs), 1.2 rebounds and 0.8 assists in 13 games off the bench this season.

such as ...

That's nice to see. They gave him his wish, maybe some team in need of a backup PG will pick him up for the rest of the year. I think he might thrive in a different situation, and I hope he gets the opportunity.

Agreed. He didn't really fit here but maybe he will somewhere else...

Reminder: Let's keep the comments civil, okay?

I wish him luck, he was out of place the day he got here, he was decent in charlotte, im sure there is a team that needs a PG that he can help out.

Whoa wtf, i just posted and it appeared towards the top of the page instead of the bottom, this site seems to be tweakin on me.

EDIT

It happened again, my posts keep moving up in the middle of the topic...wierd.

Classy move by the organization. Gives him a chance to get picked up by someone by the deadline to be added to playoff rosters.

Edit: same thing is happening to me, NikateeN

Gotta wonder if this is somehow related to the Shaun Livingston situation. Have to wonder if Hart asked to be let go. Be interesting to see if he lands with the Clippers for the rest of the season.

Whats mesed up on the kings part is they waive him today, because as of March 1st players signed are not eligible for the playoff roster. I heard on 1140 that he got the call from his agent as the plane landed in LA and he went down the steps into the terminal got his bags waived to the team and left. I heard he is going to either the Clippers or Lakers.

Hey. Looks as though I was right.

:p

about time. for everyone involved.

hopefully this means they're back to being happy with ronnie price. and he wont disappear again.

Miami might take a look -- be a coup for Jason. Spurs too.

Glad we did this though -- there was beyiond no reason to keep him after the trade deadline, other than just being punitive.

Good riddance - But now that you're off the Kings, good luck in LIFE!

EDIT: This thread is hopelessly confused because of some glitch with posting time discrepancies. For that reason - and because the Bee has now come out with a full story - I'm closing this. -- VF21
