To be fair, few GMs are an international sports icon in the way that Vlade is. It's not unlike John Elway with the Denver Broncos. A legend's in charge damn it and the team is going to remind you of it at every given juncture.

A legend maybe during his playing career...sure. But, surely you're not referring to anything else and the word "legend" involved .

The point is we're talking about perhaps the most popular player in franchise history here and the PR department is going to do every damn thing it can to exploit that fact.
