I think we go even at 8-8. I see us pulling an upset or two against some of those elite teams.

6-10 or even 8-8

either one of You on drugs ?

10 games on the road, no Wolves, no Clippers.

We will win 3 games - maximum. Maybe not even 3 - if we are fortunate.

As much as I hate this prediction, I have to agree.

The only excitement left in the season is to see if someone emerges as a near "sure thing" in the draft and then hope we get him.

Chicago, Indiana, New Jersey, Milwuakee, Golden State, Washington, Miami and maby even Toronto are all winnable games. I know the last month or 2 have been bad...but we haven't been healthy all year and when Spencer is back we are finally 100% again. I don't think we'll be as bad as we've been and I stand behind my word that we are not a bottom three team in the long run like most of us are hoping for.

Well, reasoning this out. There are 5 99% guarenteed losses (Boston, Cleveland, Denver, Orlando and Dallas).

Then we play 6 road games against teams that are a tier above us (Detroit, Indiana, NJ, Chicago, Toronto, and Miluakee). There's only about a 10-20% chance that we win each ot those games.

1 Road game against a team even with us (Golden State) - 30% chance of winning

3 home games against teams a tier above us (Miami, Milwaukee and Chicago)

And 1 home game against the Wizards.

We can probably pull 1 upset on the road against a better team, win 2 games between the three better teams at Arco and GS on the road. And should win our game at home against the Wizards.

4-12 is probably a reasonable assumption. Maybe assume one more upset if we are healthy and starting to get frisky again.

Prediction for January?

Pain...
Lots and lots of pain.

And all those teams are looking at the Kings and thinking thats a winnable game.

Well Martin's back so I think we should hit 3 or 4.

I'm actually closer to LL on this one (okay, maybe 4 or 5) -- we are atrocious on the road (ok, just about everywhere), but January is one of the easiest months of the season as far as who we have to play, and you have to figure having Kevin back will make us a little more dangerous, maybe. If we get around to making trades for the future, of course we can really take a tumble. These first 4 games will likely tell the tale. Go 0-4 then the 3 win predictions are about correct.

As an aside, looking at the remainder of our schedule I come out with a maximum record of 31-51, which would be too many wins frankly, with anything down to about 26 wins or so still in the sweetspot.

I agree. I'm thinking Golden State, Milwaukee, and perhaps NJ. It's going to be another ugly month.

I reckon we'll get at least four wins and maybe a few more if we can ddo what we did to the Lakers.
