It would suck, but assuming Dally leaves... 7th pick?

And by the way, Randolph's extension was included in that figure.

Might want to triple check that one. Pretty sure that $36 mil is without it.

ZBO $17.7
Gay $15
Conley $6.6
Mayo $5.6
Allen $3.1
Henry $2.2
Arthur $2.0
Vasquez $1.1

Total $53.30 for the players under contract next year.

Interesting in that I am not at all sure that leaves them room to resign both Gasol and Battier (who might be seen as superflorous with Gay coming back anyway).

I stand corrected on the Grizz. I went to Hoopsworld, and they showed total salaries at 37 mil, and they had Randolph listed there. I then went to Shamsports, and shot down to the bottom, and wa la, there it was 37 mil. That was good enough for me. And when your doing every team in the league, double or triple verfication is usually enough. After your latest post, I went back to Hoopsworld and looked again. Sure enough they had Randolph listed. So I got out my little hand computer and started adding up the figures, and guess what? They added up to 53.3 mil. So what the F--k. So I went back to Shamsports, and looked again. Sure enough, at the bottom they had 37 mil listed. But when I went up and looked at all the players they had listed, Randolph wasn't listed.

So technicly, both sites were wrong. One didn't list Randolph, and the other did, but didn't add in his salary. You just can't trust anyone these days. Kind of surprising for Shamsports.

I think Sham knows that Randolph has recently signed an extension, but does not know the exact dollar value of the contract yet. He will often put in a "$" placeholder until he gets the exact value.

I think Shamsports is one of the most reliable sites for salary info. My fault for not checking more carefully at the first site. I mean if your going to list the salary and have a total at the bottom, one would think you'd add in that salary. Oh well, my bad! It does take the Grizz out of the mix though. And I agree with Bricky about Gasol and Battier.

Is Kwame Brown servicableshouldwe lose Daly? Or would you rather look to the draft?

You mean Krummy Brown, a headcase who can't shoot, rebound, block shots or make free throws? Surely there's better in draft or FA if Daly is gone.

Well, we won't know about Dalembert until after the draft, but looking at the free agency list, it's not pretty. Our best and most realistic option for the starter beside Cousins really probably would be Jason Thompson, and we'd have to hope that Whiteside could give us something.

Nene might opt out, and he would be a good guy to grab if he does. Beyond that, it gets really iffy. Tyson Chandler will stay in Dallas. Marc Gasol and DeAndre Jordan are RFAs who are probably too important to their teams to not have an offer sheet matched. Greg Oden (RFA) would be a huge risk, and likely expensive. I don't think David West (option) is the kind of interior player we're looking for.

Then I start to look towards guys like Josh McRoberts, Kris Humphries, Aaron Gray, Jason Smith, Nazr Mohammed, Kyrylo Fesenko, Jeff Foster. And I don't really love what I see. I think it would be crucial to bring back Darnell Jackson under those circumstances, but I don't really want him as my #3 big guy behind Thompson at #2. That's not going to get it done. Dally is really important this offseason.
