it was a horrible call sure, but ...

G-League
kings still had the ball w/12 seconds. and ... how many turnovers did they have in the 4th quarter alone? i stopped counting at 6.

i know that was a crappy no-call by the ref's, totally inexuscable and the league owes the fans & players an apology.

still, the kings lost this game due to their failures in the 4th quarter, yet one more time.

Okay, don't make another thread just for this.

And secondly... THIS STUFF HAPPENS IN WINS AND LOSSES. I am seriously tired of hearing these excuses. Look, the Spurs are not a good free throw shooting team. Manu and Parker can get out of control and turn the ball over. Still they have won two champsionships. What you want is for there to be no doubt whether you overcame your mistakes at the end of the game. So when you have such game-changing bad calls like this then there is a lot of doubt. Making excuses for officials only continues the problem.

i'm not making exusces for the ref's, it was a stupid blown play. but the rest of you fans are constantly pointing the finger at everything but this team... so whatever, if it makes you feel better to think the world is out to get you & the kings, then ok.

if you want to discuss bball and be objective, then let's do that. i can be a fan and still point out the kings have a tendency to fold under pressure vs good teams. we've seen it three games in a row that they turn the ball over in the 4th, give up critical offensive rebounds. bad calls happen, kings have had an incredibly bad run this last week. but they have had every chance to overcome & still come out on top, but they haven't done it.

Thank you. I agree. We have to play harder and smarter...all game long. Stop making bonehead plays and passes with a couple minutes to go. I refuse to whine about the refs. We should make them a non issue. If we can establish dominance thoughout the whole 48 minutes it will be moot whatever they call.

say WORD!!!!

from espn.com game notes:

. Sacramento committed five turnovers in the first 5 minutes of the fourth quarter after having only six in the first three quarters.

so how about discussing that 5 minute span as the reason why kings lost? they convert on 3 of those possesions and the blown call is just a stupid ref mistake, and doesn't change the outcome of the game.

thank you elektrik.

Two teams play the game and mistakes are bound to happen. If you lose because of your own mistakes than you deal with it, but if you lose because of bad calls it is out of your control and it is frustrating.

I can be a fan and talk about bball objectively and say so what, who cares. Yal are placing so much emphasis on these past few games like the Kings have dropped to last in their division or out of playoff contention. So the Kings have a tough week and have lost games due to lapses in the fourth quarter but this is also the same Kings team from earlier in the season that has won many games after being down in the fourth quarter. They have already proven that they can beat SA and PHX. It doesn't matter if they beat Dallas during the season because they will beat them in the playoffs. They only team thats left is Seattle which I know they can beat.

How come nobody talks about these things when they win. Will there ever be a thread like it was a good win but Peja should be traded, Bibby can't guard a chair, Webber is still a cancer, etc. Or how about when they win a championship. Will there be threads like the Kings won but they are still at the bottom of the league in rebounding and their defense sucks, the roster needs to be revamped, fire adelman, etc. No there won't be because it doesn't matter when they win. If you don't pay much attention to the faults when they win and only complain about them when they lose then there is no point in talking about it all.

Actually before the end of the game I was going to post about how I think more and more fans are realizing this team just doesn't 'have it'. The fans at games have been more subdued lately and I think it's just a matter of fans saying "ok we've been a winning team for a few years now. but we're sliding downwards so something needs to happen." I just don't want to be the Utah Jazz, perrenial chumps, and I thought more and more fans were seeing this.

Then the refs happened.

Again.

So the integrity of the league is a bit more important than one team.

There have been threads like that after a win, and I'm sure there will be again.

For the record.
