This might sound completely crazy, but we are looking for a big man to help out JT and Spencer, and since teams aren't going to just hand us proven quality big man, and since this year is all about rebuilding and experimenting with players with potential for us, maybe... just maybe... we can take a gamble and bring in Darko Milicic and his expiring contract. NY will probably take anything we offer them, as long as we throw in some of last night's leftover peperoni from our pizza...
Now, before you try to have me institutionalized, think about this: Darko is probably the biggest bust of the decade, but at some point a lot of people saw great potential in him. It seems to me that we have the ultimate coach to bring out this potential in any player, if it indeed exists. Like I said, we need a big man anyway, and we aren't getting Dwight Howard anytime soon (doubt that we can get Okafor either), why not try this? If it works and he actually makes a difference in the paint for us, awesome! If not, his contract expires at the end of this season anyway. Not that much harm done.
What do you guys think?
