I don't disagree at all, especially since Bibby has been running things even more with Webb and Christie gone and Miller out. But there are times where he is looking to help out, when he should focus in on his guy. Webber said something in the off-season about having "pride in yourself", and I think it can apply here; your own individual accomplishments might be more beneficial to the team than not.
Of course, I don't expect Bibby to play deny all game, especially against guards, who usually will handle the ball a lot in the first place, but if he can do it sporadically, maybe he can force opponents to go elsewhere.
A defensive presence in the paint should help with dribble penetration. Right now he has to allow a bit of space when defending and because of that he's not using his best asset. He has a solid build and he should use his strength to direct players instead of allowing players to move freely and get angles on him.
