how to win it all this season..

Before you call this crazy/stupid idea think about who is a minority owner of the kings...

Let's make a trade and get kobe!! I'd give up mcclemore and a 1st rd pick for him. Just imagine how he could fit in.

Before we even get into whether having Kobe is a good idea or not, I assume your aware that Kobe makes 23.5 mil a year. McLemore's salary wouldn't even cover the 3.5 mil. So if were making this trade, how, may I ask are you making up for the 20.5 mil that's left. You'd either have to include Gay in the trade, or half the team in the trade. All that for a player that's going to retire at the end of next season. Insanity!

Last point; last time I checked, the Lakers were 1-7; sounds like he is an elite player alright.... no wait, he is a stat player on a last place team...

Well...yes on him being not what he was. But no on the team record being why that is so. That's what they were doing to our own guy only last year, but its B.S. sometimes. There's few if any stars who could take what Kobe has to work with in L.A. and make them win.

We get Kobe every game at home sellsout, I'd say 85-90% chance of making playoffs

I appreciate the audacity of the concept, trust me, I do.

But no. This isn't a video game. It's a real life team game. Now, I like your premise "How the Kings can win it all." So I'll play your game and give you my version, without the pipe dream of saying we'll trade for a superstar.

If we truly were going to try to win it all this year, what we would need is I would say three things:

-a high quality defensive backup point guard (give me some names)

-a top tier shot blocker that won't need shots on offense (Ibaka)

-a legit third scoring option in the starting lineup (maybe at SG position?)

You know though... the funny thing is we have EACH of those players in incubator phase right now... we're just not sure if they will fully develop. But if they do... wow. This team all of the sudden becomes incredibly well constructed, and seriously, if our project players reach their full potential... ok I know we're still too afraid of success at this point, but the thrust of this thread is to ALLOW YOURSELF TO DREAM.

Moreland = Ibaka type player with better rebounding skills.
McCallaum = lock down on ball pg defender with great ball management skills and can score
Ben = 3rd option lights out shooter with top notch on ball D.

IF and I say IF each of those players reaches their full potential, I say THIS VERY ROSTER* is a championship contender.

Give it two years folks and we'll see if I'm right.

*Of course we may add a piece or two here or there.

Because it's arguably one of the dumbest threads ever...
We should be staying away from arrogant and direct to the point insulting statements like this. I reviewed some of Kali way's post and most are nice and not offending. The poster does not deserved this kind of demeaning treatment from a veteran poster.

Where are the mods?

Oh come on. Seriously? There is no freaking way Kobe Bryant will ever be in a Kings uniform. You know it, I know it, Kobe knows it, men on Mars know it. This kind of thread might be fun in the middle of TDOS if you're talking about playing NBA2Kwhatever, but there's no way to take it seriously.

The OP doesn't even acknowledge the obvious - there is no love lost between Kobe and Shaq. (If you remember correctly, Kobe tried to throw Shaq under the bus during the troubles in Colorado...)

I didn't say the OP was dumb. What I said was it was and is a dumb thread, and I stand by my comment.

Gallanri struggling so far and Denver plummeting maybe we can strike on him and see if he can turn it around. DWill/sessions/2nd for gall. Have him-landry patrol the 2nd unite making us stronger if he fails he's an expiring next year. Pretty sure they'd look to trade him before chandler shaw has been frustrated by him and he's only playing 17mpg.
