how in the world did sacramento win this game

The Sonics had 24 turn overs. then in itself pretty much lead to the kings coming back in this game. I'm not so sure that the Kings are going to be as bad as everyone thinks. When they get Bibbi back and Artest I think they may surprise some people. Just MHO. :)

The "comeback" was sparked by the Kings relentless traps and press which started to bother the Sonics a helluva lot, forcing turnovers and some rushed shots. Momentum was shifting as their 20 point lead slipped to 13 by half-time. Of course, a 20 point second quarter lead is nothing in the NBA and especially against, "a Seattle." At the opening of the third quarter the Kings got a steal and hoop to carve into the lead more and then went on an Arco thunder run to tie it up fairly quickly. They were then in a slug fest the rest of the way helped by the fact that rebounding was at least equal to Seattle's - something that was not close to being the case in Kings first three road games. About last five minutes of the game the Kings really turned up the D-pressure with Durant, Wally and Wilkins all having to work extremely hard to get off anything half-way decent and mostly deep out on the perimeter.

Sonics have an early commitment to a high draft pick. They got Durant and now they want another one and they know well how to get there

The first half Theus played a sucky zone. The Sonics could do whatever they wanted. I think the Sonics shot 67% at the half. The second half Theus went to man to man and the Kings played extremely hard, with the guards selling out to get rebounds. Martin especially. It was all defense. That gave them some confidence and their offense started looking better. I'm sure the home crowd had something to do with this win also.

So far, Theus is the most interesting thing about this season. On the one hand, he had his team play very, very hard tonight- a playoff level. On the other hand, I've seen him do some Xs and Os things that seem pretty lame. The zone he's shown this year, for example, has been lame. And the going to Miki and Thomas in the post was lame. So far, his players have looked confused in every first half that they played. If he clears up the confusion on the court and junks the zone, then it looks like he'll get the most out of this team that he possibly can, which may not be a lot, but will be entertaining.

werent they down by 20? what sparked the comeback

1) it was the Sonics. There are right down there as one fo the worst teams. And so young, dumb, prone to error.

2) Brad Miller of all people waking up to give us an inside presence.

3) the switch to pressure defense

I am glad we won, but there were more than a few times during the game that I thought I was watching a competitive pick-up game at the local rec. center.

PJ helped us by playing a lot of Damien Wilkins and Earl Watson who went a combined 4-18. Also by playing Robert Swift who makes Brad look agile instead of Petro who had 10 boards and 2 blocks against Denver. Lastly playing Kings killer Delonte West only 5 minutes.

Not to take anything away from the Kings who played great in the second half, but that was a terrible 10 man rotation from PJ.

let the young guys kick *** until the end of the game then give it away ;)

great way to let them get experience while working towards their other goal :D

I continue to be SO GLAD that we didn't end up with him as coach.

I wanted PJ as the coach, but Theus definitely coached better. PJ had three point guards at his disposal, and the Kings basically had none. Yet the Kings won. You've got to give Theus a lot of credit for the victory, and, as others have said, I'd give PJ some of the credit too...
