How about a trade with Utah

Thornton/IT/#7 (Zeller) for Kanter/Burks/J. Evans/#14 (Snell)

We'll seems Snell's stock is rising with his tag of being some sort of Bruce Bowen/Kawhi (defense + steady 3 pt shooting).
So how about we get some young big Kanter, Snell, and Burks from them and give them back a scoring big to compensate Favor's offense in (Zeller), give them a better scoring SG in MT and a young PG in IT.

Sounds like a good deal to me.

We'll go with:
PG - Douglas/Evans/Jimmer
SG - Evans/Burks
SF - Snell
PF - DMC
C - Kanter

That would a good young foundation with defense at it's core.

Well Malone's real gauge as a defense preacher and wiz is Jimmer's defense.
If Jimmer could grow into a respectable player on the defensive end under Malone, that's your better shooting PG right there.

I like Kanter a lot...but so does Utah I think, and losing him would be dumb for them, and not a good fit for us next to Cousins. Kanter BTW is a lot more more skilled than Zeller. His post skills look elite.

The Utah guy we could really use is Favors. But of course Favors fits nicely next to Kanter too and they should have no reason to want to move him. All in all its just a likely place to go looking to get a pick to get Snell.

Can someone please explain the fascination with Snell? I mean, seriously? He shoots the 3 ball well enough, but as a junior at a small school he's putting up 12/3/2. He's 6'7'' and pulled down 2 boards a game. That would be completely abysmal even for a PG! Something's not adding up. His 3apg are OK for a 2/3, but everything else is well below average for where he's projected. He doesn't seem to affect the game defensively either, unless I'm missing something. I'm just completely lost on this one. I'd be completely "meh" about him in the second round as there'll be much better prospects available. I saw someone compare him to Kawhi Leonard earlier - ridiculous. Comparison only made because of physical appearance (and I'm not even talking body wise, I'm talking hair). They're nothing alike and in college their respective games really couldn't have been further apart.

Agreed. If we're looking for a role playing 3, I'd much rather have bullock.
