Houston offers picks + Lowry for Tyreke and #5

#4
Even though this is a deep draft with good talent all the way into the 20s, that is not a deal I would agree to if I were Sacramento, especially since we know that Lowry wants out.

you wasted entirely too many words on this "deal". Repeat after me: ****. That.

That is one of the worst proposals I've ever seen. We're giving up the best player in the deal as well as the best pick. Utterly ridiculous. If that goes down I will need to re-think my commitment to this franchise because it would indicate a level of ineptitude never seen in the NBA before. Thankfully, I'm sure GP knows this too. This won't/can't happen.

With some of GP's recent moves, nothing would surprise me at this point. He's probably dreaming of a 3 guard midget backcourt.

You know, at this point I'm pretty much convinced we're going to do something really stupid, because every single rumor out there involving us has us doing something really stupid. Why in the world can't we just keep the talent we do have, pick at #5, and screw around with the #36??? WHY???

Exactly. And not only do the rumors always seem to be a ****ty deal for us but when it's actually completed, it's usually even a ****tier deal.

When is the last time the Kings made a trade that the majority of educated Kings fans were happy about? Seriously. I can't remember that far back.

Dalembert for Hawes and Thornton for Landry were the last two, I think.

We can make good trades. Geoff has done it before. But this one .. just ****ing terrible.

Amick with another tweet:

Make that two involved sources refuting that offer of Houston's No. 14 and No. 16 and Kyle Lowry for Sacramento's No. 5 and Tyreke Evans.
So yeah, this one never seemed legit, and it appears it isn't.

I find your picture to be rather ironic of the situation and to be matching my emotions from the past few years in regards to the Kings... hands together in prayer but a look of disbelief on my face. Anyways.. the proposal is so stupid there is no way it can be true. I won't even waste time thinking about it.

Yeah maybe, but what do we have to show for the Dalembert for Hawes trade now? Nothing. And it was basically Martin for Thornton. Not much gained there.

And if I'm the Kings I have no interest in 14+16+18 for the #5. It's a fair deal, but not what this team needs.

The Kings need to be in the last stages of the rebuilding process, not complete add youngsters mode. Move down to dump Salmons or Hayes for Dally and maybe another piece.

Thye can stick that offer where the sun don't shine!

If we trade Tyreke then we have reached a new low if that is even possible and I would seriously re-asses whether this franchise is worth following

Exactly. We need to go in the other direction. Trade multiple lesser assets for a bigger asset.

I'm not opposed to moving Tyreke, it is possible for this team to improve while losing their 2nd best player. But not in addition to losing the #5 pick. That is just stupid. Tyreke + #5 means you get Dwight Howard, not become a pawn in another team's game.
