you are absolutely correct. Without our tank commander we are clearly 5-10 wins better this year than we would be if Bagley played all year.
I don't think it's possible to be this much of a negative on the court, so let's not go overboard here. But if current Bagley's numbers held up over the course of the season, it would be -2/3 wins less than we should have been.

sure let’s compare Memphis.
In 2016-17, Memphis was in the play-offs
In 2017-18, Memphis actively tanked, played young guys and finished the 2nd worst overall.
* This put them in position to draft Jaren Jackson
In 2018-19, Memphis again actively tanked putting them in position to draft Ja Morant.
Memphis also used their open cap space to acquire draft picks from other teams to gain future draft picks that became Brandon Clark and future Warriors picks. They also picked up young players like Josh Jackson, De Anthony Melton and now Justice Winslow.
Memphis has the second youngest average age in the NBA and is posed to make the play-offs.
meanwhile.... Sacramento who doesn’t tank and did not use cap space to acquire assets has the 22nd oldest team in the NBA. The only bad team which is older is San Antonio which will soon start their rebuild and will likely be back in the playoffs before the Kings.

If hollinger is so great, why isn’t he still in charge? The grizzlies steadily declined while he was in charge and are “poised to make the playoffs” as you say after he was demoted. You leave out the 5 or so first years he was in charge where Memphis was declining, but if vlade was promoted to gm in 2015, he get judged for his first 5 years?
If someone said throw max money at ujiri, Riley etc, or even to west in an advisory role, I wouldn’t bat an eye. But if we get rid of vlade we better have someone with a good track record to replace him.

He broke down this team to a T before the season. So he's > this front office.
Nobody broke this team down to a T unless they called Bagley missing the majority of the season and Fox missing two months both due to injuries.
Were mistakes made? Certainly. But we still could rebound into a playoff team next year with the pieces we already have if everyone stays healthy. At this point I am mostly concerned about our training staff.

Hollinger had nothing to do with any of this. He lost decision making authority and then quit during the above time frame. If he was responsible for the above he’d still be with the team.
Yes some of the mistakes made you're referring to - awhile back I think were: bringing in too many poor signings and the abandonment of playing style were factors on-top of the injuries. Coaching-switch I think was a smaller mistake too, a knee-jerk reaction and flame-out with Joerger, who had experience with defensive coaching before on the Grizzlies and 2 full seasons with the team prior of experience. That got tossed out the window. It was too much change too quickly - going from high pace to total half-court, and thinking the team would embrace and take on defense, but the offense has suffered too much. Hollinger correctly predicted this part of it. Bagley is difficult to pin in this - in the limited games this year, his play suffered compared to last year to an extent, but its not enough games to draw fair conclusions. Hield had a big hand in the worst losing patch of the season with going into a nasty shooting funk for about 8 or so games. Back to Bagley, what's much more worrisome is his injury prone-ability.
Now these last 2 wins, are back to last year's team, where they are blitzing their opponents again......on top of the shooting, the passing has come alive as well. You'll notice the same finger-prints of last season, pouring it on in stretches to win. It brings some hope. I dont think they'll win tomorrow, but I do have some hope they make interesting at least.
