We're 5-4 at home.
A winning record.
Small sample size yes, partly due to the crazy schedule, but I think it's important for two reasons.
One, young teams as they mature, tend to take the step of playing above .500 ball at home before taking that out on the road. Playing .500 ball or above at home would be a new accomplishment for such a young team and an upward trajectory. Taking it on the road would be the next step.
Two, our schedule gets much easier and is filled with homes games, winnable home games if we reproduce what we did tonight. If we can play above .500 at home and steal a few on the road before the break, we can possibly have an interesting second half if that winning % at home carries over when we fatten up on home games.
