Stop it with the dividing of the team and pitting one player against others. Stop this crap. Just stop it. None of the actual Kings fans likes you when you do this. This is a Kings forum, not a Casspi forum. You are not doing your player any favors by representing him in this way. This kind of crap reflects badly on you and the player you are rooting for.

I love Casspi, and I think he will succeed in spite of people like you acting like *******s on his team's forum board. I guarantee you Casspi himself does not think like you. You should learn from him.

All of us around here have already been through this with other players' fans who come over here for just one player. What happens is they start bashing the rest of the team in order to try to make their player look better, but it never works, and everyone immediately sees through it. In fact it's one of the most annoying things you could do here. I know that other posters have spoken to you about this. I (and perhaps others) will continue to call you out on this crap every time I see it. This crap is not appreciated.

What he said in the quote was right though. It's not good to pass up an open teammate who is a better 3 point shooter when you're like 1 for 20 or something on the year from 3 and you're a 7 foot center. Spencer has been terrible for most of the season. He's a 6'4'' player in a 7 footer's body and he doesn't have the skills like Dirk does to play like that.

if you dont want this to escalate then dont turn it into an issue... he likes casspi... he's here for casspi... let him enjoy casspi. why get on his case for wanting to see a much better three point shooter shoot a three? hawes shouldnt be shooting any threes at all anyways.... just because you can doesnt mean that you should and he shouldnt.

we all have our favorite players on this team and would want them to do their best, why get on his case because he thinks that the player he likes should get more shots. id rather see casspi shoot 2 more threes and see hawes shoot none. it doesnt mean im on the casspi bandwagon but damn... let him enjoy being a kings fan who happens to be one because his favorite player plays for that team or his favorite israeli nba player whatever... we are all here for a reason thats his. some of you sacramentoians or whatever you guys call yourselves need to learn how to share.... the team is in your city but they have fans everywhere. let them enjoy their players. damn...

Oh please! Stop being so precious!

You have NO right to attack someone's integrity about whether or not they like the team or the player. Let me ask you a question, if Kings relocates away from Sacramento, will you still follow them?! If not are you a location or a team guy?!

He has his right to support the team for what ever reason he wants and he certainly doesn't need to be bagged for his reasons. People accused me of only liking Kings because of Peja, yet Peja is LONG gone and I am still around and will be around even if the team moves.

His comments on Hawes are actually correct and part of being a fan is also being a realist and calling spade a spade. Just because someone wears Kings uniform it doesn't mean that their **** doesn't stink. I am sorry but your post is just absolute hogwash!

If he starts rubbishing on player who doesn't deserve it, THEN you have a point but Hawes as been nothing short of disappointing this year and if someone calls him out for it so be it. It doesn't make them any less of a fan than you are.

this has been several posts with several "villanous" players -- I agree with The Hammer in general analysis, if not in strident execution thus far.

The player first mentality of the Peja/Hedo days, where not only was the player greater than the team, but the other members of the team are actually cast as villains holding back the heroic preferred player absolutely is a problem. Caused a lot of problems back in the day. It was always damn Webb holding back Peja, damn Adelman holding back Hedo, trade Bibby so Peja can get more shots, whatever. It was ugly. At its ugliest I remember distinctly the game thread from Game 2 of the 2003 Mavs series. Webb goes down in a heap, and a prominent poster, who claimed to be a Kings fan, lol'd at it, and said see, watch what happens now when Peja takes the reins.

Been a while since we've seen much of it beyond a spate of Ron is taking shots away form Kevin stuff a couple of years back, so do think we should tone down the complaints until it becoems a problem. But if you are a new poster on here, from Israel, Slovenia, Spain, heck just from Philly or Rider U., please think before you go down that road. You can root for and laud your favorite guy without blaming all his flaws and bad games on somebody else. Trashing the rest of the team for the sake of a favored player does nothing more than damage your favorite players rep and popularity.

I could not have said it better myself. I love this team.

Are you OK?Are you 5 years old? This is not about Casspi( just brought him up because he was next to Hawes and having a tad better night from beyond the arch). If spencer already drilled a couple on 3s at that point,by all mean, as much as I hate it, take your three. But he ended up 0-1 for threes. If Udoka was next to Spencer and Omri on the bench or not in the building, I would rather Ime take that shot ahead of the seven footer. What am I some kind of a usual suspect here? You talk like I got Casspi into this disscussion with no valid reason. He was right next to the play. I also said in the original Beno would be a better option than Spencer for a three at that juncture. Don't label me after two days of posting here. Please do not apply your Peja factor to my post. I have been a basketball fan for more than 20 years now and I call it as I see it. I hope this is the end of it. As for Omri - got benched after playing one possession- and rightfully so cause he looked out of sorts and forcing it a couple of times during his second stretch on the floor,,got into a nice groove with the long ball, missed 2 important free throws, had almost an identical sneaky offensive rebound after a Noc miss , like he had after his own miss against the suns, grabed a few rebounds and that's pretty much it in 19 minutes of action. Did anyone see something else? Did I inflate the contributions of my,hmmm, hero(hehe)? Did I diminish his errors. I chose casspion as a nick because he is the reason I am following the team and for ease of login. I am not some blind player fan. I didn't come here to divide your forum. At 35 dividing basketball forums online is not at the top of my priority list. It's like down to 25.

Try 7 for 27, and 7 of his last 14. So not very much like 1 for 20.

And you know, this is a lot of drama over a single three point shot, taken by a player who has established that he can hit a three point shot, from the easiest spot on the floor, with the shot clock running down.

As for that unfortunate 3 point attempt by Hawes, I was watching that whole play develop and it seemed to me that it was called during the time out on purpose to set up Hawes just to take that shot.

Maybe not. But that's how it came across to me.

He's made 1 this year, I think.

Nope. It was a broken play.Hawes is a stiff.A soft stiff. (:

You're focusing on a peripheral issue.

The Kings need to improve their defense.

The Kings need to limit their turnovers.

Tyreke, specifically, needs to dribble the ball less and pass more.

And way down the list of priorities there's the free throw issue, which isn't pretty but is not what lost this game, not by a long shot.
I agree with you on all the points, however, free throws are also part of the game.

Granted, I just think they're the wrong thing to be pissed about after this game. In the closing minutes I wasn't thinking "why can't they make a free throw" I was thinking "why can't they get a stop."*

On the Hawes thing - I didn't see the play, but it seems to me that if the worst thing you can say about a player was that he took an open shot within his range instead of passing to a better shooter on one possession then you don't have much of a case against him at all.

Also, a few people here mentioned the importance of shooting big men who can spread the floor for penetrating guards, but I would like to raise the point that if anything they're even more important for guards/wings who post up (see: Chicago Bulls - Kukoc, Toni.)

And just to set the record straight - I am here mostly for Omri, and partially for Tyreke who we were hoping to get to Toronto before he showed himself to be far too good for the 9th pick in pre-draft camp. Consider me a sympathetic observer.

*Which might have something to do with the fact that I'm a Craptors fan. Being frustrated because of bad D may just have become an ingrained response.

Welcome to the board, but in the interests of fair disclosure I think you should know that I have been actively scheming about how we can steal away form your franchise player to team up with Tyreke and go have some fun. :)

I noticed. I'll have to read through the relevant thread and comment. Tyreke and Bosh togeher with Cisco/Greene/Casspi on the wings would be a holy terror, but you'll need a good strong interior defender in the middle, because Bosh is a bit on the skinny side.

Oh, we're after Dalembert / Chandler too. And I have half a mind to propose a trade for Oden. Maybe, maybe not.

yea i noticed that to. i thought it was good to see him give evans some suggestions.

Yeah. It's especially nice since I really don't see Kevin as vocal as some other guys. But giving a pointer here and there is good for him and the team.

Kevin's been talking to Tyreke right along. It's not an isolated situation. If you look closely, you'll see that Martin is actually sitting on the bench with the players and not behind them. He's talking to the coaches and to Reke and a couple of other players.

It's not something I notice alot and I thought it was great that he's interacting with them...I guess I notice Cisco more. lol

With all due respect, I was hoping on that play for Casspi to be standing in that corner and not Hawes. Casspi has shown a knack for hitting timely shots. But Casspi was on the other side of the court and not in the best position.

Are you OK?

To Casspion and all on the board: I was drunk when I wrote my original tirade and felt like having a mosh pit moment. I do stand by my original point. However, it may have been more useful to pick a more discernible example to use. Thank you all for sparring.

To Casspion: it is good to read your further posts on this thread, and I am now convinced you are a person of reason. I am relieved. I'm not sure you are similarly convinced of me, and I am ok with that. Oh, and I'm glad you are here.

To everyone else: I am a fierce protector of team unity and when I smell a threat to that, I get my panties in a bundle. What can I say, I can't help it.

I love you all, I love this board, I love our rookies, and I love the Kings. PLAYOFFS BABY!!!

GO CASSPI!!!

Um, maybe quit wearing panties and get big-boy briefs? :p ;)

Haha... crazy board. I love it....

I'm closing this thread, not because of any problem, but because we generally do close and transfer game threads after the game.

You guys crack me up.

I LOVE THIS TEAM and, of course, I LOVE KINGSFANS.COM!!!
