Why? It isn’t an upgrade!
Slight overpay IMO. We better bring in another starting caliber player. HB at 15 per gave us a lot more opportunity to bring someone else in.
Don’t love it. But I could have lived with it if we had drafted Prosper as a young kid who could make the play-offs.
the fact we sold our 1st round pick to sign Barnes and stay under the 1st Apron instead of trying to be a better team I hate. It is that kind of crap that will make this team a lottery team again soon.
Nah, there's actual value in securing Domas extension now and him not going to UFA.
But it's very very conservative approach and not one gets you over the hump. And HB is still actually good, I doubt he plays as poorly as he did in the playoffs again. (I hope...)
But if we ranked Sac outcomes, this was like 7th out of 10 possible routes I would have taken. Just... bleh.

Also, we still have 17ish mil for tomorrow. If we go get another piece, then we'll have something to evaluate.

Also, if this happens after game 82, all of us are (probably not Slab) are applauding this move and glad we got him back on such a reasonable deal for a good starter. That playoff series disappearance just left such a sour taste in everyone's mouth.
sure but signing Barnes and extending Sabonis could all have been done without selling your first round pick. ………
