Yes and Giles has the IQ of Bjelica to move the ball and get Bagley and WCS easy baskets around the rim.

Giles isn’t there yet but he absolutely needs 10-15 minutes a game to get comfortable and work his way there just like JJ has been doing.
He needs to be able to play that without “sabotaging” the team play. He wasn’t doing that earlier, hence his poor advanced stats. He looked more solid last game, hopefully the trend continues. But this is a team fighting for the playoffs, and you can’t be playing active minuses on the court, it’s imperative to earn your keep. Let’s see if Harry can build on last game to do it

He played well in Phoenix also before going on a lengthy stretch of DNP’s or 1-2 minutes of worthless scrub time.

He is a good passer, he likes to pass and sees the floor on offense. However, he is too often lost on defense. This is the area he can learn from Bjelica. I hope he will and evantually, in a year or two, replace him as a starter.

Ok. Well, typically the team wins by 5 points or less. Very close games where one weak link is the difference. Team doesn’t have any momentum to spare, and is surprisingly competing for the playoffs rather than developing. So if Kosta is better moderately, it can be the difference between winning and losing. Let’s hope that Harry helps going forward

I don’t see Harry taking Kosta’s spot. Bagley, WCS and KK all want to play around the basket. I see Giles as more of a perimeter shooter and passer.

Giles does some very very dumb things in terms of fouls but damn Im just about ready to want him in there full time over Willie, no matter where we end up this season. He is so long, quick, and coordinated he can fill the stat sheet in every column quickly....plus how many other of our guys would go in in garbage time and drop the shoulder on Pat Beverley a couple times. The guy plays angry and physical....like a "big man" for our buddies across the bay. No fear

Given our problems guarding athletic fours: Kuzma and Herrell I would like to see more play time at the four. Yes he is over exuberant at times but we need more passion up front.

Over Willie? Nah.

Over Koufos? A million times yes. A billion times yes.

5 fouls in 10 minutes the other night is ridiculous. .

There's no way I would play him over WCS. A foul rate that poor is a total negative no matter how you put it .

Fortunately, excessive fouling is a teachable issue. I hope it starts to get better soon because, as mentioned above, I would much prefer him over Koufos at this point.

Some of his fouling is being over aggressive. We need that fight on the front line and he will settle down with more reps.

Back to Stockton. My dream of him replacing an obsolete and fading Kosta Koufos isn’t going to happen any time soon, is it? :(
Forget Kosta Koufos. Last night we saw Ben McLemore-Justin Jackson small ball!

I've wanted him to get minutes to develop him, but with Bagley out it's actually at the point where I think getting him minutes would help the team better.

There is nothing in the known universe more horrifying than Ben McLemore and Justin Jackson at the 3/4.

All I can say is that the team must have something really specific in mind for Giles that they want him to master before letting him get minutes in the rotation. I know there is a plan for both Marvin and Giles. Really wish we knew for sure what it is, because I can't yet place my finger on it. Giles is going to play the 5 or bust, apparently.

I am not understanding this back and forth.
Because they are getting what they can out of him when it most benefits them. He needs as much game experience as possible and sometimes that experience can be useful to the A club.

Plus, I’m sure they want to keep his confidence high. Being able to see that his hard work and development is translating at the next level can help accomplish that.

I'm pretty sure they want him to be able to play without drawing a whistle every time he exhales.

I believe the coaches really like him and need to give him some game time and at this point Stockton being about a hour drive is a great way to do it. He sat all last year and bringing him back slowly hopefully is a good plan.

I see him trying hard but he needs to let the game come to him and I really believe the coaches are working with him how to just position himself both on offense and defense. Great instincts and the future is bright for him so let’s not push him right now.

I am not understanding this back and forth. If they don’t think he’s ready want to get him PT, then keep him down in Stockton and let him play. If they are going to bring him up, then give him some minutes.
I wouldn’t be surprised to find out in the future that the back and forth was due to having too many cooks in the kitchen. For example, Vlade may want Harry in Stockton, while DJ wants him back (and available) for home games and when we’re short handed.
