[Game] Grizzlies @ Kings - 1/7/13

Look at that, another dumb move by TRob. I just don't see how you see any star talent in the guy. He can be a very good rebounder and energy player if he wants to be, but not the tear-up-the-league next Amare Stoudemire that some make him out to be. Again, I'm basing it on what I see in his play, I'm not saying that he can't become a great player. Based on Jeremy Lin's early play you wouldn't say he'd be a solid player in the league - but he still did pretty well when he was given the chance. But that's the key: he performed when given the opportunity.

If IT was a legit starting PG, this unit wouldn't look like 5 chickens running around with their heads cut off. Just zero direction, no sets, anyone who wants can shoot from anywhere, and it's our starting PG running the show. Embarrassing.

Pretty ****ty to leave the starters in by the Grizzlies. 1. it's incredibly stupid as he's risking injury. 2, what do they gain by beating up our scrubs?

T-Rob is on his way to challenging Javlee Magee as the dumbest player I have seen in the NBA this season

Has Smart been out of his chair yelling at these guys? I hope so. They should at least be trying to get some practice in. They need to take advantage of every game time minute they get.

I just caught the ending point of the game and thought this would be more competitive...quick question, did our coach screw this one up again? lol

He didn't help but this is more on the players. Looked tired and lazy all game. Standing around doing nothing.

the road trip was a hoax. its just greedy of us to expect this team to win more than 30% of their games being that we have the fallowing going for us:

Terrible Owners
Terrible GM
Terrible Coach
Roster full of bad players besides a select few

8pts 12 rebounds on 4-8 shooting in 20 minutes. I'll take the stupid rookie mistakes from Trob if he continues giving the effort and this kind of production

That's the thing, we're working on nothing at all. We're not running sets and working on them. Not working on pcik & rolls, getting it into the post, running guys off screens for good looks.Nothing at all.

And this is with our starting PG out there. There's no offense we're running. There's no maturity shown from our PG. It's just crap. I don't even care about makes/misses. We're simply not running a damn thing and working for good shots.

In his mind it works. It's probably about 40% chance to do *ok* and 60% chance to be a disaster. If the midgets are all hitting their shots it works out but that happening is rare. It really is just chasing fools gold, hopefully he realizes it sometimes.

I feel like this "undersized" argument doesn't carry much validity when it comes to Smart. It is more on the roster. Let's take a look...

PGs
Thomas 5'10" - undersized
Brooks 6'0" - undersized
Fredette 6'2" - good size
Evans 6'5" - good size

SGs
Fredette 6'2" - undersized
Thornton 6'4" - undersized
Evans 6'5" - good size
Garcia 6'7" - good size
Salmons 6'7" - good size

SFs
Evans 6'5" - undersized
Garcia 6'7" - undersized
Salmons 6'7" - undersized
Johnson 6'8" - good size
Honeycutt 6'8" - good size
Outlaw 6'8" - good size

PFs
Hayes 6'7" - undersized
Johnson 6'8" - undersized
Outlaw 6'8" - undersized
Robinson 6'9" - good size
Thompson 6'11 - good size
Cousins 6'11" - good size

Cs
Hayes 6'7" - undersized
Thompson 6'11 - good size
Cousins 6'11" - good size

If we were to only play the guys that were adequately sized for their position, we would have a lineup of...

PG - Evans/Fredette
SG - Salmons/Garcia
SF - Johnson/Outlaw/Honeycutt
PF - Thompson/Robinson
C - Cousins

We have many undersized guys on this roster which makes it tough to matchup with our opponents. It always makes us seem like we are smaller which ultimately is a drag.

Memphis has been on the road for awhile and played last night in Phoenix. What's their excuse?

They are a good basketball team. They also seem to pass pretty well. How could the Kings keep up after playing so many games? This is their 35th game! they must be tired!

HAHAHHA. Did you hear everyone laughing at TRob when he blew the layup? LOL! Never seen that happen before. They are booing now.
